Abstract

Pemanfaatan potensi danau melalui budidaya ikan sistem Keramba Jaring Apung (KJA) merupakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan mendukung ketahanan pangan, meningkatkan perekonomian lokal, dan menjaga keberlanjutan ekosistem perairan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan במסגרת program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) dengan pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan observasi lapangan, pendampingan masyarakat, serta kegiatan pelatihan. Danau yang digunakan memiliki kondisi ekologis yang mendukung, seperti kedalaman, sirkulasi air, dan kualitas air yang sesuai untuk budidaya ikan. Jenis ikan nila dan ikan mas dipilih karena memiliki daya adaptasi yang baik serta permintaan pasar yang tinggi. Sistem KJA memberikan keuntungan berupa efisiensi pemanfaatan perairan, kemudahan pengelolaan, dan proses panen yang lebih praktis. Partisipasi aktif masyarakat melalui pembentukan kelompok pembudidaya ikan menjadi faktor penting keberhasilan program. Tantangan yang dihadapi meliputi kondisi cuaca, risiko penyakit ikan, dan keterbatasan literasi teknologi. Upaya penanganan dilakukan melalui pengelolaan limbah, pengaturan kepadatan tebar, rotasi panen, dan penerapan teknologi sederhana. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa budidaya ikan sistem KJA mampu meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat sekaligus menjaga kelestarian danau secara berkelanjutan. The utilization of lake potential through floating net cage (Keramba Jaring Apung/KJA) fish farming is a community-based initiative aimed at supporting food security, strengthening the local economy, and maintaining aquatic ecosystem sustainability. This community service activity was implemented as part of a student Community Service Program (KKN) using a participatory approach involving direct observation, community engagement, and training activities. The selected lake exhibited suitable ecological conditions, including adequate water depth, circulation, and water quality to support aquaculture. Tilapia and carp were chosen due to their adaptability and market demand. The KJA system provides advantages such as efficient use of water space, controlled cultivation environments, and easier harvesting. Community participation through capacity-building activities and the formation of fish farmer groups played a crucial role in program success. Challenges encountered included weather variability, fish disease risks, and limited technological literacy. These challenges were addressed through proper waste management, regulation of stocking density, harvest rotation, and basic technology integration. The results demonstrate that KJA-based aquaculture can increase community income while preserving lake ecosystems, making it a sustainable and environmentally responsible model for local aquaculture development
