Abstract

This study aims to analyze the capacity of the Cijangkelok River downstream in facing the planned flood discharge, with a hydraulic modeling approach using HEC-RAS software. Maximum daily rainfall data from five rainfall stations during the 2014-2023 period was used as the basis for calculating flood discharge using the Rational method and Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (HSS). The calculation results showed that the peak flood discharge for the 10, 25, and 50-year return periods reached 599.71 m³/det, 648.91 m³/det, and 682.82 m³/det using the Rational method, and 835.01 m³/det, 888.68 m³/det, and 922.90 m³/det using the Nakayasu HSS method, respectively. Flow simulations with HEC-RAS indicated that some river cross sections, especially at STA 27+950, 28+050, and 28+100, were unable to accommodate the maximum discharge, causing runoff outside the channel. This finding indicates that the capacity of the existing channel is not adequate to safely channelize flood flows. The results of this study are expected to serve as a technical reference in river normalization planning and more targeted and sustainable flood mitigation efforts.

Abstract

This study analyzed the performance of the Seuseupan Irrigation Area in Cirebon Regency using the E-PAKSI application. The research employed a descriptive-qualitative method with both primary and secondary data collection. The results revealed a combined main and tertiary irrigation system performance index of 57.62%, which falls into the underperformance category. Water discharge analysis indicated sufficient supply for the rice-rice cropping pattern across the 1,347-hectare service area. However, institutional aspects and personnel were found to be non-compliant with regulations. Furthermore, there was a significant increase in maintenance costs (AKNOP), rising from Rp2.31 billion in 2022 to Rp22.33 billion in 2024. This highlights the critical need for serious attention to the management of irrigation assets and infrastructure in the region.

Abstract

Weir Third is one of the dams in Kuningan West Java. Dam Third, located on Jl. New East Ring Road, Tonjong Hamlet, Sangkanmulya Village, District Cigandamekar, Regency Kuningan. The distance from the city of Brass is not enough, more than 13 km towards the north and less than 24 km from Cirebon city to the south direction. Dam Third irrigates an area of ± 1,010 Ha, covering two districts: Regency Kuningan 348 Ha and Cirebon Regency 662 Ha. Buildings are mainly third in the form of channel parent and channel secondary. Research objectives This analyzes mark performance based on condition damage, knowing performance moment this, get weight component Channels and Buildings Weir Third. The author uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained from field observations, while secondary data is from UPTD SUP Kalijaga – Cisanggarung. The methods used in the research Are qualitative nature, descriptive – and inductive. Research results show that the percentage performance component Channels and Structures on Dams Third based on conditions and functions, namely, Channel Primary and Secondary Weir Third with a percentage condition good 15%, condition medium 50%, condition damaged 34%, so the average condition channel Primary and Secondary Weir Third in Moderately Damaged Condition. The condition of the building on Dam Third is good at 7%, moderate condition at 85%, and damaged at 9%, so Weir Third's average condition is good. The result of the analysis calculation of rainfall rain and comparison of discharge needs with the debit of irrigation area availability shows that the debit availability river is bigger than the debit requirement, with thus water needs in irrigation areas being third in all-sufficient.
