Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the literacy program at SD Negeri Kenep 01 Sukoharjo using the Goal-Free Evaluation (GFE) model developed by Michael Scriven. Employing a qualitative approach with a program evaluation design, the study focuses on identifying the actual impacts of the program without relying on its predetermined objectives. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis and were analyzed using an interactive process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the literacy program achieved its intended outcomes by improving students’ reading interest, writing skills, and Indonesian language learning achievement. In addition, the evaluation identified several unintended impacts, both positive and negative. Positive outcomes included the development of a stronger literacy culture within the school, the enhancement of students’ positive character traits, and increased parental involvement in supporting literacy activities. Conversely, unintended negative impacts included student boredom and an additional workload for teachers. These findings demonstrate that the Goal-Free Evaluation model provides a more comprehensive understanding of program effectiveness than objective-based approaches and offers valuable insights for strengthening internal evaluation mechanisms, diversifying reading materials, improving teacher capacity, and fostering stronger partnerships between schools and families to ensure the sustainability of literacy programs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of school leadership in implementing an Android-based digital library application (iPERPUS) at SMP Negeri 1 Karangmalang. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through observations, interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, as well as document analysis. The data were analyzed using an interactive process involving data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the successful implementation of iPERPUS was strongly influenced by the principal’s leadership through institutional policy development, strategic decision-making, digital literacy promotion, infrastructure support, and stakeholder collaboration. The adoption of free platforms within the Google Workspace ecosystem enabled the development of a sustainable and cost-efficient digital library without substantial technological investment. The implementation of iPERPUS improved access to learning resources, strengthened digital literacy, enhanced cost efficiency, and increased the involvement of teachers and parents. However, several challenges remained, including internet connectivity limitations, content updating, and restricted features of free platforms. Overall, the study demonstrates that effective school leadership plays a pivotal role in driving digital transformation and ensuring the successful implementation of innovative digital library initiatives in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation and impact of technology integration in educational administration at secondary schools, given that digital transformation has become an urgent necessity for improving the quality of educational services in the era of globalization. Through an observational and survey-based approach involving education staff, this study analyzes the application of school management systems, e-learning platforms, and financial management software used in daily operations. The observation results indicate that technology integration significantly enhances school operational efficiency, facilitates communication among stakeholders, accelerates administrative processes, and supports more accurate and transparent data-driven decision-making. Nevertheless, this study also identifies several significant challenges, including limited technological infrastructure, low digital competence among some education staff, access disparities between schools, and resistance to a more digitally oriented work culture. These challenges have the potential to hinder implementation effectiveness if not addressed comprehensively. Based on these findings, this study recommends strengthening continuous training programs, providing adequate and evenly distributed technological infrastructure, and formulating systematic and well-planned technology integration policies as key prerequisites for the success of digital transformation in secondary school educational administration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's instructional leadership model in improving the quality of learning at SDN Margapadang 1 Tegal. This study focuses on how the principal implements academic supervision, teacher development, and training to strengthen classroom learning practices. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teacher questionnaires, classroom observations, and document analysis in the form of school work plans, academic supervision schedules, supervision notes, and student learning reports. Data were analyzed thematically using source triangulation to ensure the consistency and credibility of the findings. The findings indicate that the principal implements instructional leadership through scheduled academic supervision, constructive feedback, regular teacher development meetings, and reflective coaching. These practices increase teacher motivation, strengthen teacher confidence, encourage the use of more diverse teaching methods, and create a more open academic culture. However, the impact is not fully distributed across all teachers due to time constraints and the principal's administrative workload. This study proposes an integrated instructional leadership model that combines academic supervision, teacher development, and training in the local context of public elementary schools in Indonesia
