Abstract

Every village possesses local potential that can be developed to promote community welfare and independence, including Mojorejo Village in Jetis District, Ponorogo Regency. This village has approximately 15 hectares of bamboo plantations that are utilized by the community, particularly women’s groups, to produce various woven crafts with economic value. To support these activities, the community established Roemah Bamboe and Deling Studio. Roemah Bamboe focuses on producing simple bamboo crafts, while Deling Studio develops value-added products through diversification of bamboo-based handicrafts. However, both communities continue to face several challenges, including limited business legality, high market competition, and restricted marketing reach that remains concentrated in local markets. This Community Service Program was carried out in Kampung Bambu, Mojorejo Village, using the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. This method was applied to maximize the utilization of local assets through four stages: preparation, implementation, technology application, and mentoring. The preparation stage involved coordination and socialization with partners and the village government. The implementation stage focused on training related to product labeling and packaging in accordance with e-commerce standards. The technology application stage included the use of branding tools such as burning stamps and laser devices to facilitate labeling bamboo products. Finally, the mentoring stage was conducted to assist partners in obtaining the Business Identification Number (Nomor Induk Berusaha/NIB), strengthening marketing strategies, and developing skills in utilizing digital platforms. The results of the program demonstrated an improvement in both the quality and market value of bamboo products, not only in local markets but also starting to reach national markets. Partners’ understanding of digitalization also increased, as reflected in their positive attitude toward adopting e-commerce and social media. Thus, this program contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Mojorejo’s bamboo crafts through innovation, business legality, and the utilization of digital technology.
