Abstract

Materi Relasi dan Fungsi merupakan salah satu topik penting yang diajarkan di kelas VIII SMP dan menjadi dasar bagi pemahaman materi matematika selanjutnya. Namun, hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 10 Samarinda pada materi ini tergolong rendah karena belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Salah satu penyebabnya adalah penggunaan metode pembelajaran konvensional dan media yang monoton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Lumio by SMART pada materi Relasi dan Fungsi untuk siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 10 Samarinda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4D yang meliputi tahap Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Tahap define dilakukan melalui analisis kebutuhan, tahap design melalui perancangan media, tahap develop melalui uji validitas oleh ahli media dan ahli materi serta uji kepraktisan oleh guru dan siswa, dan tahap disseminate dilakukan dengan membagikan akun Lumio kepada guru matematika. Hasil validasi menunjukkan indeks Aiken-V sebesar 0,833 dengan kategori sangat valid, sedangkan hasil uji kepraktisan menunjukkan indeks Aiken-V sebesar 0,708 dengan kategori praktis. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran berbasis Lumio by SMART dinyatakan layak dan praktis digunakan sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya pada materi Relasi dan Fungsi.

Abstract

This development research is based on students’ limited understanding of integer arithmetic operations, particularly negative numbers, as well as the lack of interactive learning media in the learning process. This study aims to examine the process of developing Scratch-based learning media for integer arithmetic operations and to determine the validity and practicality of the developed media. This study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instruments used include validation sheets for subject matter experts and media experts, as well as a practicality questionnaire for students. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that the learning media was developed through stages of needs analysis, curriculum analysis, and technology analysis; media and instrument design; product creation in the form of Scratch-based interactive media containing content, practice problems, and educational games; validation; revision; and finally, pilot testing with students. The learning media was deemed highly valid by subject matter experts (87.33%) and by media experts (97.04%), and highly practical based on student responses (91.49%). Thus, the Scratch-based learning media developed was deemed suitable and highly practical for use in teaching mathematics on integer arithmetic for 7th-grade junior high school students.

Abstract

This development research was motivated by problems in mathematics learning at SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda, which is still dominated by formula memorization (surface learning), resulting in students’ limited conceptual understanding, particularly on circle material. This study aimed to determine the development process of deep learning-based student worksheets (LKPD) on circle material and to identify the validity and practicality level of the developed LKPD. This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model, which consists of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The instruments used included validation sheets from material experts and media experts, as well as practicality questionnaires completed by teachers and students. The data were analyzed using the Aiken’s V index. The results showed that the LKPD was developed through needs and curriculum analysis, design integrating the deep learning framework, validation, revision, and field testing. The LKPD was declared valid by experts with an average Aiken’s V index of 0.798 (valid category) and highly practical by teachers and students with an average Aiken’s V index of 0.968 (very valid category). Therefore, the developed deep learning-based LKPD is feasible and highly practical for use in mathematics learning on circle material for Grade XI.
