Abstract

Cognitive ability is one aspect often hampered in children with physical disabilities, particularly those with cerebral palsy, requiring interventions to support their development. This article aims to map various cognitive interventions used to improve cognitive abilities in children with physical disabilities. The method used was a scoping review referring to the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Articles were searched through the PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases, covering publications from 2020 to 2025. Based on a selection process based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, nine articles were selected for analysis. The study results indicate that the interventions used include computer-based cognitive training, the Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) approach, interventions integrating neurological, motor, and cognitive aspects, and game-based approaches and dual-task activities. These interventions contribute to improvements in executive function, memory, attention, social cognition, daily activity skills, and functional status. These findings suggest that developing cognitive abilities in children with physical disabilities can be achieved through various approaches involving cognitive, motor, and metacognitive aspects.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed family interactions and created new challenges for parents in supporting adolescents. Digital parenting has emerged as an important approach to promoting adolescents' mental health and emotional regulation in the digital era. This study aims to examine the role of digital parenting in adolescents' mental health and emotion regulation using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The review followed the PRISMA guidelines, with relevant articles identified through Google Scholar using predefined keywords. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 10 articles published between 2016 and 2026 were selected and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The findings indicate that digital parenting characterized by open communication, active parental involvement, digital mediation, and parents' digital literacy positively contributes to adolescents' emotion regulation and mental well-being. Conversely, digital neglect, ineffective family communication, and limited parental involvement in adolescents' digital activities increase the risk of negative emotions, problematic internet use, gaming addiction, and psychological problems such as anxiety and depression. Furthermore, strengthening parental self-efficacy through psychoeducational programs and web-based interventions has been shown to improve the quality of digital parenting practices. Therefore, effective digital parenting depends not only on limiting screen time but also on fostering warm emotional relationships, empathetic communication, and parents' readiness to guide adolescents in navigating the challenges of the digital environment.

Abstract

Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) has emerged as a significant psychological phenomenon in the social media era, characterized by anxiety stemming from the perception of being excluded from others' experiences. Although various interventions have been developed to mitigate FOMO, studies integrating Islamic spiritual constructs, particularly qana'ah (contentment), remain scarce. This study aims to identify, evaluate, and synthesize scientific evidence regarding the potential role of qana'ah in reducing FOMO, as well as to construct a conceptual framework applicable to Muslim communities. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, with article searches performed through Google Scholar using relevant keywords covering publications from 2021 to 2026. Of 150 initially identified articles, 8 met the inclusion criteria and were subjected to in-depth analysis. The synthesis revealed three major themes: (1) qana'ah as a spiritual coping mechanism against FOMO, (2) psychological pathways linking qana'ah to reduced FOMO through diminished social comparison and strengthened internal orientation, and (3) strategies for internalizing qana'ah through education, spiritual development, and Islamic-based digital literacy. The findings indicate that qana'ah holds significant potential as a protective factor against FOMO by enhancing psychological resilience and reducing reliance on digital social validation. Future empirical research employing experimental designs and standardized measurement instruments is warranted.
