West Sulawesi Province ranks fourth in cocoa production in Indonesia in 2020 with a total production of 71,543 tons. . The use of domestic cocoa beans as raw material for domestic industries is still very low since most of the beans is exported in the fram of dry beans. Indonesia government has established cocoa processing industry as one of the sectors that is prioritized for development. CV. Putra Mataram is a small chocolate processing industry located in Polewali Mandar Regency which can be developed into a medium scale cocoa processing industry considering the availability of raw material. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the internal and external factors affecting the development of small scale chocolate industry and to determine the appropriat development strategy for CV. Putra Mataram. Qualitative data analysis was carried out by identifying the internal and external factors affecting the chocolate industry based on the results of the interview. The information obtained was reformulated and entered into the SWOT matrix. From the results of the SWOT analysis, there are 9 alternative development strategies that can be applied by CV. Putra Mataram. These strategies might also relevant to other small scale chocolate processing industries.

This community service aims to educate students of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Polewali Mandar about the potential of oyster mushroom cultivation (Pleurotus ostreatus) as an effort to improve vocational understanding and entrepreneurial spirit. This activity is motivated by the high economic potential of oyster mushrooms and the need to diversify students' learning to face future challenges. The implementation method is by presenting educational materials related to oyster mushroom cultivation. This activity took place in March-June 2024, involving 50 grade XI students. The material provided includes an introduction to oyster mushrooms, nutritional content, cultivation techniques, challenges, and opportunities for the economic benefits of oyster mushroom cultivation. 84% of participants gave a positive response (Yes), and 16% gave a negative response (No) to all aspects evaluated. This shows that the oyster mushroom cultivation education activity has succeeded in significantly increasing participants' knowledge, interest, and motivation, as well as providing benefits according to the needs of the participants. The main challenges faced include limited resources. However, effective collaboration with the school helped overcome these obstacles. This activity not only succeeded in transferring knowledge and understanding but also stimulated students' interest in entrepreneurship in agriculture. The program's sustainability is guaranteed through integrating materials into the school curriculum and the development plan for oyster mushroom production units in the madrasah environment. This service concludes that oyster mushroom cultivation education has great potential in preparing madrasah students to face economic opportunities in agribusiness.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pengembangan yang tepat untuk pasar coklat CV Putra Mataram di desa Sidorejo. Dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis SWOT dengan matriks IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Summary) dan EFAS (External Factor Analysis Summary), dapat diketahui faktor lingkungan eksternal yang menjadi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman dalam pengembangan pasar coklat CV Putra Mataram. . Dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa posisi strategis yang menjadi fokus adalah posisi strategis dalam mengembangkan pasar coklat CV Putra Mataram, khususnya menggunakan strategi SO (Sternght-Opportunity), yaitu Gunakan segala kekuatan dan manfaatkan peluang. Peluang pemasaran yang dimiliki oleh Pengembangan Pasar Coklat CV Putra Mataram sebesar 2,12 lebih besar dari nilai Faktor Ancaman sebesar 1,23 bila mempertimbangkan potensi dan nilai peluang Pengembangan Pasar Coklat CV Putra Mataram Faktor Kekuatan lebih tinggi 2,18 dari faktor kelemahan, 1,02 dengan memeriksa hasilnya Dari analisis strategi internal menunjukkan bahwa faktor kekuatan dapat mendukung pengembangan pemasaran Coklat CV Putra Mataram dibandingkan dengan faktor lemah.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan kelayakan budidaya nilam untuk pendapatan rumah tangga di Desa Ambopadang, Kecamatan Tubbi Taramanu, Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi budidaya nilam terhadap pendapatan rumah tangga dan untuk mengevaluasi kelayakan usaha ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metodologi deskriptif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budidaya nilam memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap pendapatan petani. Berdasarkan jumlah tanaman yang ditanam, pendapatan dari budidaya nilam adalah sebagai berikut: 200 pohon, senilai Rp1.665.000 (rasio R/C 1,08), 500 pohon, senilai Rp5.365.000 (rasio R/C 2,92), dan 1.000 pohon, senilai Rp12.065.000 (rasio R/C 5,16). Mengingat semua nilai rasio R/C lebih dari 1, dapat disimpulkan bahwa budidaya nilam di Desa Ambopadang merupakan pilihan yang layak untuk menghasilkan pendapatan rumah tangga.

Kabupaten Polewali Mandar memiliki potensi besar dalam produksi kakao, menjadikannya sebagai salah satu daerah penghasil kakao utama di Sulawesi Barat. Pemanfaatan biji kakao sebagai bahan baku industri di dalam negeri masih terbatas akibat minimnya proses pengolahan. Pemerintah telah mengidentifikasi industri cokelat sebagai sektor yang perlu dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah produk lokal. CV. Putra Mataram merupakan industri cokelat berskala kecil yang memiliki peluang untuk memperluas skala produksi dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi pengembangan industri cokelat prioritas di Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode AHP. Hasil analisis AHP diperoleh strategi prioritas dalam pengembangan industri cokelat yaitu membuat dan memperluas jaringan pemasaran. Strategi ini diambil berdasarkan hasil tujuan prioritas yaitu meningkatkan pangsa pasar.
