Abstract

Abstract

The exploitation of natural resources (SDA) that ignores ecological carrying capacity has triggered environmental degradation, climate change, and a decline in the quality of life of communities dependent on natural resources. This article aims to examine natural resource management from the perspective of the green economy, a development paradigm that prioritizes resource efficiency, low-carbon growth, and social inclusiveness. This study uses a literature review method by collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing relevant scientific sources, including journal articles, books, and institutional reports, related to the concepts of green economy and natural resource management. The results of the study indicate that the green economy paradigm offers a strategic framework for reconciling economic growth with environmental sustainability through instruments such as economic valuation of natural resources, green investment, environmental regulation, and community participation. However, its implementation in Indonesia still faces obstacles in the form of overlapping regulations, weak institutional coordination, and limited public understanding of the green economy concept. This article concludes that the success of green economy-based natural resource management requires synergy among the government, the private sector, and the community, supported by a regulatory framework that is consistent and oriented toward sustainable development.

Abstract

Economic growth is one of the main indicators used to assess the success of economic development. However, Indonesia's economy experienced a contraction in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected investment activities and labor absorption. This study aimed to analyze the effect of investment and labor on Indonesia's economic growth during the period 2015–2020, both partially and simultaneously. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design using annual time series secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), preceded by classical assumption tests. The results showed that investment had a positive coefficient, while labor had a negative coefficient on economic growth. However, partially, investment and labor did not have a significant effect on economic growth. Simultaneously, both variables also did not significantly affect Indonesia's economic growth during the study period. These findings indicate that economic growth is influenced by various factors beyond investment and labor.
