Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between self-confidence and career decisions regarding higher education among 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar in 2026. A quantitative correlational research design was employed, involving 204 students selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using self-confidence and career decision questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test. The results revealed a positive and statistically significant relationship between self-confidence and career decisions for further study, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.259 and a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that students with higher levels of self-confidence tend to make firmer and more confident decisions regarding their pursuit of higher education. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination showed that self-confidence contributed 67% to career decision-making, while the remaining 33% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Overall, the findings highlight the important role of self-confidence in supporting students’ readiness and certainty when determining their educational and career pathways. Therefore, guidance and counseling programs should focus on strengthening students’ self-confidence to facilitate more effective career planning and informed decisions about continuing their education.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between social interaction satisfaction and the self-confidence of Grade X students at SMA Negeri 2 Denpasar in 2026. This quantitative correlational study involved 457 Grade 10 students, with a sample of 213 selected through proportional random sampling based on Slovin's formula. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire, and the instrument's validity and reliability were tested using SPSS version 25.0 for Windows. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and product-moment correlation. The results showed a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.550 with a significance level of p < 0.05. Since the r-value exceeded the table value (0.550 > 0.134), the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, indicating a positive and significant correlation between social interaction satisfaction and student self-confidence. Higher satisfaction with social interaction was associated with higher student self-confidence. The contribution of social interaction satisfaction to self-confidence was 30.25%, although other unexamined factors also played a role.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic anxiety among students of SMK Pratama Widya Mandala in 2026. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sample consisted of 90 eleventh-grade students of SMK Pratama Widya Mandala. The research instruments were self-efficacy and academic anxiety questionnaires that had met the validity and reliability requirements. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation technique with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The results showed a significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and academic anxiety, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.832 and a significance value of p < 0.001. These findings indicate that the higher the students' self-efficacy, the lower their academic anxiety. Self-efficacy contributed 69.22% to students' academic anxiety, while the remaining 30.78% was influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. These findings suggest that self-efficacy is an important factor in reducing students' academic anxiety.
