Abstract

This study aimed to develop a group guidance service model to foster students’ empathy in order to reduce bullying behavior among students at SMA PGRI 4 Denpasar and to determine the feasibility of the developed model. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects included material experts, guidebook experts, school counselors, and 12 tenth-grade students of SMA PGRI 4 Denpasar. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, expert validation, pre-tests, and post-tests. The results showed that the developed group guidance service model obtained a content validity score of 1.00, indicating a very high level of validity. The trial results revealed an improvement in students’ empathy, with an average N-Gain score of 0.13, which falls into the low category. Students’ responses to the developed model reached 84.25%, indicating that the model was highly feasible. Therefore, the developed group guidance service model is considered valid and feasible for use in fostering students’ empathy and helping to reduce bullying behavior in the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between social interaction satisfaction and the self-confidence of Grade X students at SMA Negeri 2 Denpasar in 2026. This quantitative correlational study involved 457 Grade 10 students, with a sample of 213 selected through proportional random sampling based on Slovin's formula. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire, and the instrument's validity and reliability were tested using SPSS version 25.0 for Windows. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and product-moment correlation. The results showed a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.550 with a significance level of p < 0.05. Since the r-value exceeded the table value (0.550 > 0.134), the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, indicating a positive and significant correlation between social interaction satisfaction and student self-confidence. Higher satisfaction with social interaction was associated with higher student self-confidence. The contribution of social interaction satisfaction to self-confidence was 30.25%, although other unexamined factors also played a role.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a mind mapping strategy within group guidance services to enhance the career awareness of eleventh-grade students at SMK Pratama Widya Mandala Badung in 2026. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product developed was a group guidance service manual based on the mind mapping strategy, designed to assist students in understanding their potential, exploring the world of work, and planning their careers systematically.The product was tested on four students who demonstrated low levels of career awareness. Data were collected through expert validation, questionnaires, observations, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The findings revealed an improvement in students’ career awareness scores after participating in the group guidance service. The average N-Gain score was 0.79, which falls into the high category, while students’ responses to the product achieved a percentage score of 89.5%, indicating a highly feasible category. The results demonstrate that the mind mapping strategy implemented in group guidance services is both feasible and effective in improving the career awareness of vocational high school students. Therefore, the developed product can serve as an alternative guidance and counseling service to support students in developing a better understanding of career planning and future career opportunities.
