Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Al-Miftah lil Ulum program at PPTQ Al-Mannan Tulungagung using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. The Al-Miftah lil Ulum method, developed by Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri, has been widely adopted by various Islamic educational institutions as an innovative approach to learning classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning). A qualitative approach with a single case study design was employed in this research. Data were collected through participatory observation over three meetings, semi-structured interviews with 15 purposively selected informants consisting of the pesantren leader, program coordinator, teachers, students, and administrators, as well as documentation studies of archives and activity photographs. The Miles and Huberman interactive model was used for data analysis, encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that from the context aspect, this program is highly suitable for the needs of beginner students who mostly have not yet learned nahwu (Arabic grammar). From the input aspect, the program has certified teachers and complete teaching materials, though still constrained by limited learning facilities. From the process aspect, learning proceeds according to the six-stage standard procedure, albeit sometimes hindered by teachers' busy schedules. From the product aspect, the program achieved a 100% pass rate in the first volume with an average score of 82. This study concludes that the Al-Miftah lil Ulum program is effective for beginner students, while recommending improvements in infrastructure and scheduling. The CIPP model is suggested for adoption by other pesantren in evaluating their learning programs.

Abstract

In elementary education, the learning strategies used play a crucial role in shaping children’s character and competencies; therefore, teachers need to select learning strategies that align with the children’s interests and talents. This study aims to analyze the integration of deep learning with the Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta to foster holistic learning in elementary education. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, guided by the PRISMA guidelines, to identify, select, and analyze relevant literature. Data sources were obtained from national and international scientific articles published between 2021 and 2026 via Google Scholar, Garuda, ERIC, and ScienceDirect. The results indicate that deep learning plays a role in developing critical and reflective thinking skills as well as meaningful learning. At the same time, the Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta helps strengthen students’ empathy, character, and interpersonal relationships. The integration of these two approaches creates a more humanistic, reflective, and holistic learning experience focused on students’ overall development. In addition to enhancing cognitive aspects, this approach also supports students’ emotional and social development in elementary education. This study concludes that integrating deep learning with the Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta can serve as an alternative for developing a more holistic curriculum that is relevant to the needs of 21st-century learning. Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between constructivism and Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) in enhancing students' cognitive and behavioral engagement and to explore its relevance to the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This study employed a systematic literature review by analyzing ten peer-reviewed journal articles selected based on their relevance, credibility, and alignment with the research objectives. The collected data were synthesized using a descriptive-comparative approach to identify patterns, similarities, and differences across the selected studies. The results of this study indicate that constructivism and Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) have complementary roles in improving students' engagement. Across the ten selected studies, constructivism and SRL consistently promoted critical thinking, problem-solving, active participation, self-directed learning, and reflective learning practices. The synthesis also demonstrated that their integration supports the development of meaningful, student-centered learning environments, making it highly relevant to the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This research provides a conceptual foundation for integrating constructivist learning and Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) strategies in classroom practice to enhance students' cognitive and behavioral engagement. This research also supports the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum by highlighting the importance of student-centered, meaningful, and self-directed learning as essential components of effective educational practice.
