Abstract

The implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in event management is necessary to ensure that event activities are carried out in a structured and effective manner. During the registration procces of the happy point freelancer garudafood event organized by Insight Communication, QR codes printed on participant ID cards could not be scanned properly, causing delays in the registration process. This study aims to analyze the implementation of SOPs based on the pre-event, during event, post-event stages and to identify obstacles encountered during each stage. This research employed a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving five informants selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model. This finding indicate that SOPs were implemented throughout the pre-event, during event, and post-event stages. However, several obstacles were identified, including participant data changes, unreadable QR codes, malfunctioning registration applications, unstable internet connections, and delays in the event rundown. The study concludes that SOP implementation has been carried out throughout all event stages but has not yet been fully optimized. Strengthening participant data validation and registration system testing is recommended to improve event effectiveness.
