Abstract

Hospital healthcare plays a vital role in ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of national health systems. The implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) has become a strategic approach to improving service consistency, patient safety, and organizational performance. Hospital accreditation serves as an external evaluation mechanism that promotes compliance with established standards and continuous quality improvement. This study employed a qualitative descriptive literature review approach to examine the relationship between accreditation standards, QMS implementation, service quality, and patient satisfaction. A total of 48 articles were initially identified from relevant databases. After duplicate removal and title–abstract screening, 27 articles remained. Following full-text assessment based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 5 articles were finally selected for analysis. The findings indicate that accreditation strengthens structured procedures, documentation systems, patient safety culture, and internal monitoring processes. Accredited hospitals tend to demonstrate better procedural compliance and service delivery. Furthermore, service quality dimensions—reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles—are strongly associated with patient satisfaction. The novelty of this study lies in integrating accreditation standards, QMS implementation, service quality, and patient satisfaction into one analytical framework. In conclusion, integrating accreditation standards with continuous quality improvement and patient-centered strategies is essential to achieving sustainable service quality and higher patient satisfaction in hospitals.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program, also known as the Free Lunch Program, is funded at IDR 10,000 per portion for large servings and IDR 8,000 per portion for small servings at each Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) across Indonesia. The allocated cost per portion reflects a food package that includes staple foods (carbohydrates), animal protein, vegetable protein, vegetables, fruits, and milk. This free nutritious meal program serves not only as a health intervention but also as part of a broader social, economic, and educational development strategy. This study employs a quantitative cross-sectional research approach, which aims to identify and describe phenomena or factors influencing the relationship between independent (free) variables and dependent (bound) variables. The findings indicate that the impact of providing free nutritious meals through the nutrition fulfillment service units has not yet been optimal, particularly in terms of menu variation.

Abstract

Chronic nutritional problems in Indonesia, such as malnutrition, remain a significant issue requiring continuous attention. The government has launched the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program as a strategic nutritional intervention policy, targeting school children, toddlers, and pregnant women. This program is based on the understanding that adequate nutritional intake plays a crucial role in improving health quality and supporting students' learning productivity. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program policy in improving the health quality and learning productivity of students. This research uses a qualitative method, with a case study approach, and data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses a thematic method. Informants in this study were students, teachers, and parents of students, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results show that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program has relatively high effectiveness in improving immunity, concentration, and memory. Students are more energetic and fit, which will have a positive impact on enthusiasm, motivation for student attendance, enthusiasm, and active participation in the learning process. Thus, it can improve nutritional status, health quality, and education. This research contributes to the health field by finding that the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program is effective as a long-term strategy to improve health and education quality.
