Abstract

Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) is a technique that combines body system techniques and spiritual therapy using pressure on certain points on the body. SEFT includes helping individuals free from emotional stress (negative energy), which is the cause of increasing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Hypertension is a condition where there is an increase in blood pressure, characterized by symptoms that will progress to a target organ, such as stroke, coronary heart disease and right ventricular hypertrophy. This systematic review aims to assess the effects of the Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) with the result of reducing blood pressure in hypertensive sufferers. Using a systematic review by utilizing four electronic databases for searching: Pubmed, Science Direct, Google Scholar and Garuda Portal. Randomized Control Trial and Quasy Experiment studies that conducted research on SEFT were used as inclusion criteria. This systematic review contained ten studies meeting the criteria for a full text review. The findings in this study show that SEFT is very effective in reducing blood pressure in people with hypertension. Non-pharmacological intervention, namely SEFT (Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique), has a good impact on hypertension to reduce blood pressure. So, it can be used as a good complementary therapy for hypertension sufferers.

Abstract

Introduction: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a disease that is progressive and irreversible in kidney function. Decreased kidney function has an impact on fluids and metabolic waste accumulating in the body. So that it will affect the fluid balance resulting in uremia and excessive amounts of nitrogen waste products in the blood cycle. One of the contributions to the failure of hemodialysis is related to patient compliance in undergoing the program. Objective: To determine the relationship between family support and adherence to hemodialysis in CRF patients. Method: This study used the systematic literature review method, this study used 55 articles obtained through identification searches, interpretation of all studies and assessing articles, searches began on June 24 to July 29, 2022. Results: Obtained 10 research findings articles that were still relevant, after conducting an analysis of the articles it was found that there was a relationship between family support and compliance in undergoing hemodialysis therapy including gender, education, age, motivation, knowledge, duration of hemodialysis, access to health services and family support. Conclusion: based on the article, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between family support and adherence to undergoing hemodialysis in chronic kidney failure (CKD) patients. Abstract

Stunting remains a significant public health challenge in Indonesia, especially in rural areas with limited access to nutrition and sanitation. This community service activity aims to provide residents of Tosale Village, Donggala Regency, with knowledge about stunting prevention and the importance of environmental hygiene through a participatory educational approach. The implementation methods included field observations, stunting discussions, installation of educational visual media, as well as mutual cooperation activities and the cultivation of medicinal plants and vegetables. The results of the activity showed an increase in community understanding of balanced nutrition, clean and healthy lifestyles, the cultivation of medicinal plants and vegetables, and the revival of a culture of mutual cooperation. The stunting discussion forum served as a platform to encourage cross-community participation in the village, while visual media strengthened health literacy through easily understandable messages. Overall, this activity demonstrated that a participatory approach can increase collective awareness and preventive behavior against stunting while strengthening the independence of village communities in creating a sustainable healthy environment.

Abstract

Background: Final year students are vulnerable to academic and psychological stress that can impact mental health, especially depression. Coping mechanisms used by students play an important role in determining an individual's ability to deal with stress. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between coping mechanisms and depression in final year students at the Indonesian Jaya College of Health Sciences. Method: This study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample size was 40 final year students selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a coping mechanism and depression questionnaire, then analyzed univariately and bivariately. The statistical test used was the Chi-square test with a significance level of α = 0.05. Results: The results of the univariate analysis showed that most respondents had adaptive coping mechanisms (27 respondents (67.5%) and did not experience depression (34 respondents (85.0%). The bivariate analysis showed that all respondents with adaptive coping mechanisms did not experience depression (100.0%), while some respondents with maladaptive coping mechanisms experienced depression. The Chi-square test results obtained a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which indicates a significant relationship between coping mechanisms and depression in final year students. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between coping mechanisms and depression in final year students at the Indonesia Jaya College of Health Sciences. Adaptive coping mechanisms act as a protective factor against depression.
