<![CDATA[Community-based tourism development requires strengthening the capacity of destination managers, improving service quality, and encouraging active community participation to ensure sustainable growth. This article aims to describe the implementation of an international community service program in supporting the development of Pematang Johar Rice Field Tourism. The activity was conducted on October 15, 2025, at Pematang Johar Rice Field Tourism and involved 100 participants consisting of tourism managers and local community members. The program employed a participatory and collaborative approach through lectures, interactive discussions, cross-country sharing of best practices, and descriptive evaluation of the activity. The materials focused on sustainable tourism village development, improvement of visitor services, innovation in destination management, and community participation. The results showed that the program was implemented successfully, gained active participation from attendees, and improved the community’s understanding of the importance of innovative, participatory, and sustainable tourism management. The activity also strengthened collaborative networks between the local community and higher education institutions from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Therefore, this community service program served as an important initial step in supporting the development of Pematang Johar as a more adaptive and sustainable community-based tourism destination.]]>
