Abstract

This study aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) regarding the effectiveness of trainer kits in Advanced Electronics learning in the Physics Education Study Program at a university, specifically in developing students' skills in using the trainer kits. The SLR method was used to collect, analyze, and synthesize the results of similar published studies. Data were collected from indexed journal documents with e-ISSNs through a Google Scholar search using the Publish or Perish application. Inclusion criteria were applied to filter the data population, focusing on the effectiveness of trainer kits in improving students' skills in operating the kits, resulting in a total of five national journal articles used as samples. The synthesis results indicate that the effective use of trainer kits integrated into Advanced Electronics courses contributes significantly to the improvement and development of students' technical skills in assembling, measuring, and analyzing circuits using the trainer kits. This study contributes to the development of physics education by providing an empirical basis for the importance of integrating modern technology-based learning media (trainer kits) to achieve optimal technical and operational learning outcomes at the higher education level

Abstract

Arduino microcontroller learning requires not only conceptual understanding but also practical skills in designing, assembling, programming, and testing hardware-based systems. However, students often experience difficulties in understanding Arduino programming concepts when learning is not supported by project-based activities and appropriate practical learning media. This study aimed to develop a Project Based Learning (PjBL)-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) assisted by a maze solver robot kit on Arduino microcontroller material. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Four-D (4D) development model consisting of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The subjects were 12 students of the Physics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Jambi, who had taken the Advanced Electronics course. Data were collected through media expert validation questionnaires, material expert validation questionnaires, robot kit expert validation questionnaires, and student perception questionnaires. Quantitative data were analyzed using percentage techniques, while qualitative data in the form of suggestions and feedback from validators were used as the basis for product revision. The results showed that the developed LKPD obtained a feasibility percentage of 80.77% from media experts, 100% from material experts, and 91.07% from robot kit experts, all categorized as highly feasible. Student perceptions yielded an average percentage of 89%, categorized as very good. The developed LKPD is expected to serve as an innovative teaching material that supports project-based learning and enhances student engagement in learning Arduino microcontrollers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat pemahaman siswa SMA Kelas X SMAN 15 Muaro Jambi terhadap materi pengukuran sebagai salah satu kompetensi dasar dalam pembelajaran fisika. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada temuan bahwa sebagian siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menjelaskan konsep besaran dan satuan, membaca alat ukur, serta menerapkan aturan angka penting dalam penyelesaian soal. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes pemahaman dan angket respon siswa. Analisis data dilakukan untuk menggambarkan capaian hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman siswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan variasi penguasaan konsep yang berbeda pada setiap indikator, khususnya pada aspek penggunaan alat ukur yang masih rendah. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya metode pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual, penggunaan alat peraga secara langsung, serta penekanan pada latihan penerapan konsep. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif pada materi pengukuran.
