Abstract

Rural Sharia agritourism microenterprises play an important role in promoting local economic development, community empowerment, and sustainable rural transformation. However, these enterprises continue to face significant challenges related to digitalization, sustainability practices, limited human resource capacity, and changing market dynamics. This study aims to develop a comprehensive conceptual understanding of how digital transformation, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), human resource readiness, Islamic business values, and local wisdom collectively contribute to the sustainable performance of rural Sharia agritourism microenterprises. This study employed a qualitative literature review using a library research approach by synthesizing recent scholarly publications published between 2017 and 2026. The literature was analyzed through qualitative content analysis and thematic synthesis to identify recurring patterns, conceptual relationships, and research gaps. The findings indicate that sustainable business performance cannot be explained by digital transformation or ESG implementation independently. Instead, sustainable performance emerges from the complementary interaction among digital capability, sustainability-oriented management, human resource readiness, ethical business practices, and community-based cultural values. Human resource readiness serves as an enabling capability that strengthens the implementation of digital transformation and ESG, while Islamic business values and local wisdom reinforce ethical governance, stakeholder trust, and social legitimacy. This study contributes to the literature by integrating Resource-Based View, Dynamic Capability Theory, Stakeholder Theory, and Human Capital Theory into a unified conceptual framework for sustainable rural entrepreneurship. The proposed framework also provides practical insights for policymakers, rural development agencies, and microenterprise owners seeking to strengthen the resilience and long-term competitiveness of rural Sharia agritourism microenterprises.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of trust on purchasing decisions for Muslim fashion products in Pekanbaru City with ar-ridho as a mediating variable. This study responds to the increasing trend of consumption of Muslim fashion products among religious urban communities. Using a quantitative approach, indicators for each variable were developed based on previous literature and empirical data. The number of samples collected and eligible for analysis in this study was 112 Respondents. The results showed that trust has a significant influence on purchasing decisions, and ar-ridho strengthens the relationship as a mediating variable. Muslim fashion brands need to prioritize honesty, transparency, and adherence to sharia to build consumer trust. It is recommended to continue to consider the sharia and sincerity aspects in every consumption decision so that it not only fulfills worldly needs but also has worship value.

Abstract

This study aims to explore innovation capability in enhancing the marketing performance of culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pekanbaru City. Shifts in consumer behavior and increasing competition require MSMEs to develop innovative capabilities in order to survive and grow. The study adopts a qualitative approach using a case study method on selected culinary MSMEs chosen purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the innovation capability of culinary MSMEs is reflected in three main dimensions: product innovation, process innovation, and digital marketing innovation. Product innovation is manifested through menu diversification and taste adjustments tailored to local market preferences. Process innovation is reflected in the efficiency of production management and the adoption of technology-based services. Meanwhile, digital marketing innovation is evident in the utilization of social media and e-commerce platforms to expand market reach. These findings indicate that enhancing innovation capability not only improves competitiveness but also strengthens the sustainability of culinary MSMEs amid dynamic market conditions. The implications of this study highlight the importance of training support, access to technology, and collaboration among MSME actors and local government in strengthening innovation capabilities.
