Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of customer marketing relationships, reference groups, and service quality on the satisfaction and loyalty of members of the Rimba Mutiara Banso Cooperative in Siak Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method involving all 61 cooperative member group leaders, thus employing a census sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using the SEM-PLS method. The results showed that customer marketing relationships, reference groups, and service quality significantly influenced cooperative member satisfaction. Furthermore, customer marketing relationships, service quality, and member satisfaction were shown to significantly influence member loyalty, while reference groups had no direct effect on loyalty. These findings confirm that member satisfaction plays a strategic role as a mediating variable in strengthening the influence of marketing relationships and service quality on cooperative member loyalty. The novelty of this study lies in the simultaneous examination of the relationship between customer marketing relationships, reference groups, and service quality on loyalty, with satisfaction as an intervening variable in the context of plantation-based Islamic cooperatives, a practice still relatively limited in cooperative management studies. Practically, the results of this study provide implications for cooperative managers to prioritize strengthening sustainable marketing relationships and improving service quality as key strategies for maintaining member satisfaction and building long-term loyalty.

Abstract

Student mental health has become a strategic issue in higher education as the learning environment becomes increasingly digitalized and dynamic. Universities are no longer solely focused on academic achievement but are also required to build a learning ecosystem that sustainably supports student psychological well-being. This study aims to analyze the role of psychological well-being and positive education practices as the foundation for strengthening student mental health. Unlike previous studies, which generally examine these two aspects separately, this study integrates psychological well-being and positive education into a single empirical model to explain student mental health in the context of Indonesian higher education. The study used a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. Participants were recruited using a Likert-scale questionnaire with 397 active students at various public and private universities in Pekanbaru City. Psychological well-being was measured through the dimensions of autonomy, personal growth, purpose in life, and positive relationships, while positive education was measured using the PERMA framework. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that psychological well-being significantly influenced student mental health (β = 0.52; p < 0.001), and positive educational practices also contributed significantly (β = 0.47; p < 0.001), with both variables simultaneously explaining 48% of the variation in student mental health. These findings emphasize the importance of a promotive approach that integrates strengthening student psychological capacity and positive educational practices as a systematic strategy for building mental resilience in higher education in the current digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ perceptions in Riau Province toward the traditional art of Kayat and the culture of Kuantan Singingi as part of efforts to preserve local culture. The method employed in this study is a quantitative approach with a survey design. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires to students from several universities in Riau, selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument was developed based on perception indicators, including knowledge, attitudes, and interest in the traditional art of Kayat. The results indicate that, in general, students have a fairly positive perception of Kayat as part of regional cultural identity. However, the level of students’ understanding of the philosophical values and cultural meanings embedded in Kayat remains moderate to low. In addition, students’ interest in directly participating in cultural preservation activities is not yet optimal. Factors influencing these perceptions include limited access to information, lack of exposure to cultural performances, and the dominance of popular culture in the digital era. Therefore, more innovative preservation strategies are needed, including the integration of digital technology, strengthening cultural literacy in higher education, and fostering collaboration among government, academics, and cultural communities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of foundation leadership style, committee oversight, and the recruitment system on employee job satisfaction and performance, as well as the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance. A quantitative approach was employed using a census of 60 employees at SDS Yayasan Pendidikan Persada Indah, Tualang District, Siak Regency. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that foundation leadership style was not significantly related to job satisfaction (p = 0.494) or employee performance (p = 0.968). In contrast, committee oversight was significantly related to job satisfaction (p < 0.001) and employee performance (p < 0.001). The recruitment system was also significantly related to job satisfaction and employee performance (p < 0.001). Furthermore, job satisfaction was significantly related to employee performance (p < 0.001). The model explained 72.8% of the variance in job satisfaction and 66.7% of the variance in employee performance based on adjusted R². These findings indicate that committee oversight and recruitment practices have a more consistent role in employee outcomes than foundation leadership style within the studied private school. Strengthening governance and recruitment practices may therefore support employee job satisfaction and performance.

Abstract

Tanjung Beringin Village, Pangkalan Kuras Subdistrict, possesses abundant natural resources, particularly coconuts. However, the community has not yet fully leveraged this potential to create profitable value-added products. This study aims to enhance community knowledge and skills in producing Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) through an educational and training program. The program utilized a participatory approach involving 50 local residents from Tanjung Beringin Village. The full-day initiative comprised four main sessions: (1) theoretical principles of the VCO manufacturing process, (2) practical demonstrations of VCO production using raw coconut, (3) explanation of VCO's health and industrial benefits, and (4) marketing strategies for VCO products. Results indicated a significant increase in participants' knowledge regarding coconut oil processing and its benefits. Key challenges identified included raw material quality, optimization of the oil separation process, and risk mitigation against product rancidity. In conclusion, the VCO education and training provided a substantial impact on empowering the local community to develop a sustainable natural resource-based economy..
