Abstract

The Current wireless technology is used to find out where the user is in the room. Utilization of WiFi strength signal from the Access Point (AP) can provide information on the user position in a room. Alternative determination of the user's position in the room using WiFi Receive Signal Strength (RSS). This research was conducted by comparing the distance between users to 2 or more APs using the euclidean distance technique. The Euclidean distance technique is used as a distance calculator where there are two points in a 3-dimensional plane or space by measuring the length of the segment connecting two points. This technique is best for representing the distance between the users and the AP. The collection of RSS data uses the Fingerprinting technique. The RSS data was collected from 20 APs detected using the wifi analyzer application, from the results of the scanning, 709 RSS data were obtained. The RSS value is used as training data. K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) uses the Neighborhood Classification as the predictive value of the new test data so that K-NN can classify the closest distance from the new test data to the value of the existing training data. Based on the test results obtained an accuracy rate of 95% with K is 3. Based on the results of research that has been done that using the K-NN method obtained excellent results, with the highest accuracy rate of 95% with a minimum error value of 5%.

Abstract

The implementation of learning by teachers can measure the quality of schools and students. Schools with diverse student backgrounds need to take strategic steps in managing learning to get optimal learning outcomes. Good learning designs and techniques can motivate students' interest in learning. The teacher's role is very important in managing learning to create an effective teaching and learning process. Data Mining or also known as Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) is the process of extracting knowledge from large data to find new patterns to get new knowledge and information. Data Mining technology is used to explore existing knowledge in the database. One of the methods used in data mining is clustering with the K-Means algorithm. This study aims to conduct student clustering to obtain a balanced class composition in order to improve the quality and student learning outcomes as seen in the increasing in the class average score. The data processed in this study came from the main school data as many as 90 students of the XI class of Computer Network Engineering Skills Competency at SMKN Negeri 2 Padang Panjang in the 2020/2021 school year. The variables used in data processing are student scores, parents' income and the distance from where students live to school. The student clustering calculation using K-Means succeeded in grouping 90 students into 3 clusters where cluster 1 totaled 47 students, cluster 2 totaled 10 students and cluster 3 totaled 33 students. Each member of the cluster will be divided evenly into 3 groups studying to get a balanced class composition. This research can be used as a basis for decision making by schools in clustering student placements to improve learning outcomes. By the increasing in the grade point average, the school average score will also increased.

Abstract

Microprocessor and microcontroller laboratories are type III laboratories that are in the electronics engineering study program majoring in electrical engineering, this laboratory serves the activities of student practices for microprocessor system courses, microcontroller systems and interfaces I and II and very large scale intergration (VLSI) programmable logic devices and programmable electronics. Laboran as manager and person in charge of the laboratory, every month submits reports on equipment support facilities and practice modules made manually to the head of the laboratory. Every day the laboratory staff must examine all equipment activities one by one such as computers and practice modules to find out the latest conditions. Seeing the problems above, we need a system solution that can provide fast, accurate, complete and integrated information as a whole. The purpose of this study is to produce an information system design for maintenance and repairs to microprocessor and microcontroller laboratories. The method used in this study analyzes the current system to create a conceptual model so as to produce a database diagram. Next, the design of the display includes the design of the application interface such as the reporter display, laboratory performance reports etc. To further maximize laboratory use and quality teaching and learning is expected that students, lecturers and staff will also participate by reporting damage to supporting facilities at the microprocessor and microcontroller laboratory.

Abstract

Nagari merupakan sebuah wadah yang memiliki peran yang sangat penting untuk mendorong masyarakatnya dalam melakukan inovasi baik dibidang ekonomi, maupun teknologi. Teknologi tersedia untuk mempermudah berbagai aktivitas dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah untuk melaksanakan Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi, membangun Virtual Tour tempat-tempat wisata di nagari Pasia Laweh, mensosialisasikan Politeknik Negeri Padang sebagai institusi pendidikan yang mempunyai sistem pendidikan yang mengarah kepada jalur pendidikan professional. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data gambar tempat-tempat wisata di tiga lokasi wisata yang diambil menggunakan kamera 360o. Memanfaatkan teknologi 3 dimensi dan teknologi internet dapat menghasilkan sebuah virtual tour nagari yang dapat diakses dimana saja melalui website nagari https://www.pasialaweh.id. virtual tour nagari ini bisa menjadi promosi atau pengenalan tempat wisata nagari kepada masyarakat luar nagari Pasia Laweh

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan aplikasi absensi berbasis android untuk kantor wali nagari padang gantiang menggunakan framework golang. Sistem aplikasi saat ini perlu memerlukan pembaharuan sistem yang baru. Karena dengan melakukan hal ini akan berdampak sangat baik bagi perusahaan dilihat dari sisi efisien, efektif, dan cepat dalam pengambilan dan rekap data absen karyawan. Dalam hal ini perusahaan berlomba membuat sistem absensi yang dapat berjalan pada teknologi saat ini seperti smartphone android. Hal tersebut membutuhkan sebuah desain rancangan sebelum sistem ini dibuat sehingga dapat mengetahui permasalahan dan solusi pada sistem yang akan dibuat. Desain sistem absensi ini digunakan untuk mempercepat absen hanya melalui smartphone android yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing karyawan. REST API digunakan untuk integrasi antar platform, dan golang mempermudah pengembangan aplikasi. Dan hasil dari penelitian ini adalah diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan aplikasi absensi. Kata kunci : Android, Absensi, REST API, Golang

Abstract

The behavior of people who often litter is one of the factors that affect environmental cleanliness. For this reason, an innovative tool is needed, namely the Smart Trash Can that is able to manage waste using a water sensor and determine the capacity and distance of the waste object using an ultrasonic sensor and can perform automatic control of the type of waste using a servo output. This Smart Trash can make it easier for users to manage waste on a small scale. How this tool works uses NodeMCU as a microcontroller to retrieve data generated by rain sensors, ultrasonic sensors, and micro servos. Because NodeMCU already has a wifi module, the data is sent to telegram for garbage notification and communication between trash bins.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged the digitization of government services in an effort to improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility for the community. However, the implementation of e-government at the village or nagari level still faces various obstacles, such as limited infrastructure, low digital literacy of government officials, and administrative systems that are still manual-based. This community service aims to develop and implement a website-based village information system in Nagari Supayang, Tanah Datar Regency, to support the optimization of public services. The methods used include needs analysis, system design, website development, socialization, and training for village officials and the community. The results of the service showed that the developed system was able to increase service efficiency by up to %, while the level of understanding of the apparatus of the digital system increased by 70 points based on the results of the pre-test and post-test. In addition, the user satisfaction survey indicated that more than 90% of the trainees felt ready to operate the system independently. This implementation proves that digitizing village administration services can improve the effectiveness of village or nagari governance and become a model for other nagari in adopting the concept of e-government in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of electronic-based government systems (SPBE) in Nagari Batipuah Ateh, West Sumatra, Indonesia, analyzing the adoption patterns and challenges of digital transformation in rural governance. Through the application of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, this study investigates how traditional rural communities adapt to and accept e-government services while maintaining their cultural identity and social structures. The study employed a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative surveys of fifty participants with qualitative insights from fifteen in-depth stakeholder interviews conducted over twelve months. The research focused on measuring key UTAUT constructs: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions, while also examining the role of community dynamics in technology adoption. Findings reveal significant correlations between social influence and behavioral intention (r = 0.72), highlighting the crucial role of community leadership in technology acceptance. While 52% of users demonstrated advanced digital literacy, 26% required substantial support for basic system navigation, leading to the emergence of effective community-based support networks. The study identified a 65% increase in adoption rates among initially hesitant users through these informal support systems, and a 58% higher sustained engagement when implementing phased approaches with community feedback integration. The research contributes to understanding rural digital transformation by demonstrating how e-government services can be successfully implemented while preserving cultural integrity. The results suggest that successful rural digital governance requires more than technological solutions, demanding careful attention to social dynamics and cultural contexts.

Abstract

The research addresses the challenges of managing multiple admission channels in higher education institutions through a comprehensive web-based solution. Following Design Science Research Methodology, we developed and implemented a multi-layer architecture that integrates various admission processes while maintaining system security and performance. The system handles six distinct admission channels, including Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Applied Master's Program, and industry partnership programs. Results demonstrate significant improvements in operational efficiency, with a 65% reduction in application processing time and error rates below 0.1%.
