Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar matematika dan dominasi metode pembelajaran konvensional menjadi kendala utama dalam memahami konsep pada siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experimental berupa pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model CORE dan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, serta uji Independent Sample T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung sebesar 3,27 lebih besar dibandingkan ttabel sebesar 2,00 pada taraf signifikansi 5%, yang mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model CORE mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam menghubungkan, mengorganisasi, merefleksikan, dan mengembangkan pemahaman konsep matematika. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran CORE efektif digunakan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Background: Competence is the ability or skill of an individual that is still in the form of potential. In the context of education, teacher competence, both professional and pedagogical, plays an important role in influencing student learning outcomes. Objective: This study aims to determine whether teachers' professional and pedagogical competencies influence students' mathematics learning outcomes at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 02 Lebong. Method: The approach used in this study was ex post facto. This study was conducted in 2023 with a sample of 24 students. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used normality tests, homogeneity tests, and paired t-tests. Results: The results showed that teachers' professional and pedagogical competencies had a significant effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 02 Lebong. Conclusion: Teachers' professional and pedagogical competencies play an important role in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes. Therefore, developing teachers' competencies in these two areas is very important for improving the quality of education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Contribution: This study is expected to contribute scientifically to the field of education, particularly education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, by providing insight into the influence of teachers' professional and pedagogical competencies on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu students in fostering an attitude of tolerance among primary school-aged children in RT 19, Bengkulu City. Mutual respect is a crucial societal value that needs to be instilled early on to create an environment characterized by harmony, tolerance, and mutual regard. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects include university students, primary school-aged children, and the local community of RT 19, Bengkulu City. The findings indicate that the students play a significant role in instilling mutual respect through educational activities, social engagement, educational games, and by modeling positive behavior for the children. These activities successfully enhance tolerance, cooperation, and social awareness among the primary school-aged children. Furthermore, support from the community and the local environment contributes to the success of the students' initiatives. Thus, the students' efforts to foster mutual respect from an early age positively impact the character development of children within the community. This study is expected to serve as a reference for the development of character education and community service activities in social settings.
