Abstract

Digital transformation through the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly changing the dynamics of modern work and creating new psychological risks for employees. This study aims to analyze the influence of AI Adoption on Depression, as well as to test the role of Psychological Safety as a mediator and Ethical Leadership as a moderator in this relationship. Using a quantitative approach with SEM-PLS, this study involved 195 employees from the financial sector, selected through purposive sampling with a minimum tenure of one year. The results show that AI adoption has a positive effect on depression and also has an impact on psychological safety. Furthermore, psychological safety has an insignificant effect on depression and mediates the relationship between AI adoption and depression. On the other hand, ethical leadership has a positive effect on psychological safety but does not moderate the of AI adoption on psychological safety. These findings indicate that psychological stress due to technology adoption is more influenced by AI-based work demands than leadership factors. Practically, this study emphasizes the importance of strengthening a psychologically safe work environment to minimize the negative impacts of digitalization and support employee mental well-being.

Abstract

Organisational commitment remains a critical issue in the tourism industry because employee retention and service quality depend heavily on employees' attitudes toward their organisations. Although previous studies have examined organisational commitment extensively, limited attention has been given to the simultaneous roles of work involvement and organisational justice in relation to job satisfaction in tourism organisations. This study aims to examine the effects of work involvement and organisational justice on organisational commitment, with job satisfaction serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed, using data collected from 112 employees at Owabong Waterpark in Indonesia. The data were analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings reveal that work involvement and organisational justice significantly enhance both job satisfaction and organisational commitment. Job satisfaction also has a significant positive effect on organisational commitment and partially mediates the relationships between work involvement, organisational justice, and organisational commitment. These findings support Social Exchange Theory by demonstrating that employees who perceive fair treatment and actively engage in their work develop greater job satisfaction, which subsequently strengthens organisational commitment. This study contributes to the organisational behaviour literature by extending the application of Social Exchange Theory in the tourism sector and providing empirical evidence on the mediating role of job satisfaction.

This study aims to analyze the influence of brand ambassadors, brand trust, brand image, and product quality on purchasing decisions for Glad2Glow skincare products in Purwokerto City. The study used a quantitative approach. The research respondents were the general public who are consumers of Glad2Glow skincare products in Purwokerto City and were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through SmartPLS 3. The results showed that brand ambassadors, brand trust, brand image, and product quality had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for Glad2Glow skincare products. The research findings also showed that these four variables were able to explain purchasing decisions by 46.2%, while the remaining 53.8% was influenced by other variables outside the research model. These results indicate that increasing brand ambassador credibility, brand trust, brand image, and product quality can improve consumer purchasing decisions for Glad2Glow skincare products. These findings provide implications for companies in formulating more effective marketing strategies to improve consumer purchasing decisions.
