Abstract

The rapid growth of Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) has encouraged tourism businesses to adopt digital platforms as an effective marketing channel. This study aims to examine the influence of promotion and tourist perception on the intensity of Viator platform usage at PT Wahyu Mandiri Tour. A quantitative approach with a causal research design was employed. The study involved 100 tourists who had previously made bookings through the Viator platform, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a structured Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination with IBM SPSS. The findings reveal that promotion has a positive and significant influence on the intensity of Viator platform usage (β = 0.453, p < 0.001). Tourist perception also demonstrates a positive and significant effect (β = 0.456, p < 0.001) and emerges as the more dominant predictor. Furthermore, promotion and tourist perception jointly exert a significant influence on the intensity of platform usage (F = 371.369, p < 0.001). The regression model explains 88.2% of the variance in platform usage intensity (Adjusted R² = 0.882), indicating strong explanatory power. These findings suggest that sustained use of the Viator platform depends not only on effective promotional strategies but also on tourists' positive perceptions regarding platform usability, trustworthiness, service quality, and perceived benefits. Strengthening these factors is therefore essential for enhancing long-term user engagement and supporting the digital marketing performance of tourism businesses.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the number of corporate event bookings between the high season and low season periods from 2023 to 2025 at The Trans Resort Bali, while identifying the factors influencing these differences and the strategies implemented to increase bookings during the low season. A mixed-methods approach was employed by integrating quantitative and qualitative analyses. The quantitative data consisted of 36 corporate event booking records collected during 2023–2025 and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, and an Independent Samples t-test. Qualitative data were obtained through interviews, observations, and document analysis, followed by analysis using the Miles and Huberman interactive model with source and method triangulation to ensure data credibility. The quantitative findings indicate no statistically significant difference in the number of corporate event bookings between the high season and low season periods (p = 0.660), although the average number of bookings was slightly higher during the high season. The qualitative findings reveal that economic conditions are the primary factor influencing corporate event bookings, whereas public holidays, major festivals, and tourism demand have relatively limited effects because most corporate events are scheduled well in advance. To maintain stable booking performance, The Trans Resort Bali implements integrated event promotion, flexible meeting package development, and strategic partnerships with corporations, event organizers, and business partners. These findings provide practical insights for strengthening MICE marketing strategies and sustaining corporate event performance throughout the year.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous effects of Brand Image and Service Performance on Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM) on the TripAdvisor platform at InterContinental Bali Sanur Resort. The research method used is quantitative with an associative approach. Sampling was conducted using a purposive sampling technique with a total of 97 respondents who were guests who had stayed and provided reviews on the TripAdvisor platform. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis processed through the SPSS 27 program. The partial results of the study show that the Brand Image variable has a positive and significant effect on E-WOM, driven by the main indicator of pride in a positive brand image (Brand Favorability). The Service Performance variable is also proven to have a positive and significant partial effect on E-WOM, driven by the high responsiveness of staff in handling guest needs. Simultaneously, both independent variables significantly affect the accumulation of E-WOM on the TripAdvisor platform. The practical implication for hotel management is the need to optimize unique local identity (Brand Uniqueness) and utilize the newly renovated lobby facilities and beachfront afternoon tea lounge as physical instruments to drive positive reviews in order to boost the hotel's digital popularity ranking.
