Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of augmented reality (AR) media in improving elementary school students' mathematical problem solving ability. The study involved students from several classes who were divided into experimental groups using AR media and control groups using conventional methods. The results of the analysis showed that the use of AR can improve the understanding of mathematical concepts and student engagement in the learning process. Although the difference in scores between the two groups was not statistically significant, there were indications of improvement in the experimental group. These findings highlight the importance of developing innovative learning media such as AR to support the mathematics education process at the primary level.

Abstract

This research uses a quantitative approach, with a survey method. The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between mathematical problem solving and students' self-confidence. The research population consisted of 52 students at SD Negeri Taman Kalijaga Permai. The data collection technique was purposive sampling. The instruments used are in the form of test sheets and questionnaires. The research results show that students' self-confidence is 0.105 and the significant value (sig) is 0.632. It can be concluded that there is a strong relationship between self-confidence and problem solving. So it can be concluded that students' self-confidence can influence the results of students' mathematical problem solving, especially in FPB and KPK material.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Beringin Bhakti Special Needs School (SLB) with the aim of evaluating the role of the school in serving children with mental retardation or intellectual disabilities as well as identifying collaboration between the school and parents in the service process. This research is entitled "Evaluation of the Beringin Bhakti Special School Intervention in Handling Children with Intellectual Disabilities". The main questions asked in this research include the role of Beringin Bhakti SLB in supporting children with intellectual disabilities, the form of collaboration between the school and parents, and the obstacles faced in serving these children. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with purposive sampling. The research sample consisted of 5 respondents. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The research results show that SLB Beringin Bhakti plays an important role in providing basic education, identifying and honing the abilities of students with intellectual disabilities. Collaboration between schools and parents is realized through the exchange of ideas and information aimed at supporting children's development. In addition, this research identified three main obstacles faced by mentally retarded children, namely internal difficulties, learning problems, adjustment problems, and teacher problems. To overcome these obstacles, research suggests providing appropriate learning services and creating appropriate and supportive learning environments. Close collaboration between schools and parents is considered very important in increasing the effectiveness of education and helping to overcome the various obstacles faced. Beringin Bhakti SLB plays a significant role in supporting children with intellectual disabilities through a holistic educational approach and strong collaboration with parents. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide valuable insight for educational practitioners and policy makers in formulating better strategies and free educational services to address the needs of children with intellectual disabilities, as well as encourage the implementation of more effective and inclusive approaches in special education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kemampuan mathematical content siswa sekolah dasar dalam perspektif etnomatematika Masjid Agung Sang Cipta Rasa. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep, prosedur, dan simbol matematika melalui konteks budaya lokal pada pembelajaran bangun datar. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan design research eksploratif melibatkan 25 siswa kelas V SD di Kota Cirebon. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes berpikir matematis, observasi, dan wawancara yang dianalisis melalui reduksi, penyajian, serta penarikan kesimpulan dengan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mampu menghubungkan bentuk bangun datar pada gapura Masjid Agung Sang Cipta Rasa dengan rumus luas dan keliling secara tepat, serta menunjukkan kemampuan memahami konsep dan simbol matematika secara bermakna. Penerapan pendekatan Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dan media lego membantu siswa berpikir reflektif dan kreatif dalam mengonstruksi ide geometris berdasarkan pengalaman nyata. Sebagian besar siswa berada pada kategori kemampuan sedang hingga tinggi, menunjukkan bahwa konteks budaya lokal dapat memperkuat hubungan antara konsep abstrak dan lingkungan konkret. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi etnomatematika Masjid Agung Sang Cipta Rasa, pendekatan CPS, dan media lego untuk mengembangkan mathematical content siswa. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pembelajaran matematika berbasis budaya lokal mampu menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang kontekstual, kreatif, dan bermakna.
