Abstract

This paper examines the impact of TikTok use among children, focusing on development, behaviour, and digital well-being. The aims are to (1) identify cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioural effects, (2) distinguish positive from negative outcomes, and (3) highlight the role of adult mediation. Using a qualitative literature review of empirical and narrative studies on early childhood and primary school pupils, data are synthesized from classroom observations, interviews, and thematic and content analyses reported in prior research. Analysis clusters findings into educational/cognitive benefits, creativity and self-expression, mental health and behavioural risks, and conditions under which TikTok supports healthy development. Evidence indicates that TikTok can foster creativity, self-confidence, informal learning, and social connection when use is moderate and content is appropriate. However, excessive or unsupervised use is associated with attentional problems, reduced learning focus, social withdrawal, exposure to inappropriate content, poor time management, and signs of digital addiction. The conclusion emphasizes structured limits, active parental and teacher guidance, and digital literacy education to maximize benefits and mitigate harms.

Abstract

This paper examines the intrinsic relationship between education and society, emphasizing education's role as a foundational force in individual development and societal organization. The study aims to conceptualize education beyond the narrow framework of literacy, focusing instead on its broader sociological implications—particularly its capacity to cultivate moral values, civic responsibility, and social cohesion. Employing a qualitative, document-based research methodology, the study draws upon classical and contemporary philosophical perspectives, including those of Mahatma Gandhi and Aristotle, to elucidate the dynamic interplay between the individual, the community, and educational structures. The analysis highlights that education begins within the family unit, where fundamental human values such as empathy, compassion, and cooperation are first transmitted. As formal education expands this foundation, individuals become better equipped to engage constructively with increasingly complex social institutions—from the family and village to the state and global society. The study also outlines how these interconnected social layers evolve, underscoring the necessity of education in sustaining and advancing collective human life. In conclusion, education emerges not merely as a process of intellectual acquisition but as a transformative social force that shapes ethical individuals and cohesive communities. To ensure long-term societal well-being, it is imperative that educational systems integrate cognitive, emotional, and ethical dimensions, thereby enabling individuals to function as conscientious members of a global society.

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the influence of demographic factors on the use of Superstar mobile learning apps among college students. It examines the differences in the frequency of usage of mobile learning apps among college students under second digital divide based on genders, household location registration, and major discipline. Hopefully, this study will provide policymakers in China an opportunity to identify factors that will affect the equal access to mobile learning apps among college students. This study can lead to the reduce of education and social inequality. This study adopts a quantitative method of survey using online questionnaire to collect data from college students of a private university in Liaoning Province. After the data has collected, the SPSS.26 was used to analyze the data using independent sample t-tests based on genders, household location registration, and major discipline to conduct the differentiation analysis. There was no significant difference identified in the frequency of usage of SuperStar Learning app among college students based on genders, household location registration or major discipline. However, science and technology students showed a greater dispersion in the frequency of usage of SuperStar Learning App compared to humanities and social science students. The study suggests that overall most of the college students have achieved moderate level of usage ability in the use of Superstar learning app, however the usage of Superstar learning app varied based on the demographic factors. The findings indicate that demographic factors did not have any influence on the use of Superstar Learning App among the college students. Hence, the university might not need to design the training programs based on demographic factors of the college students. This is encouraging from a digital equity perspective, as it shows that Superstar Learning App is able to be accessed and used by a broad group of students, regardless of their background.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies in enhancing the brand awareness of Ichyo Crepes, a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME). The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with the business owner, and documentation study, including social media content, digital promotional materials, and other supporting records. The data were analysed using the interactive model of qualitative data analysis, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that the implementation of digital marketing strategies through social media platforms, engaging visual content, interactive promotional activities, and the utilization of customer reviews has significantly increased brand exposure and expanded the business's market reach. Furthermore, consistent content publication and active engagement with customers have strengthened brand recognition and enhanced consumer trust in Ichyo Crepes' products. However, the effectiveness of these strategies remains constrained by limited human resources, inconsistent digital media management, and intense competition within the same industry. The study concludes that a well-planned, consistent, and customer-oriented digital marketing strategy contributes positively to strengthening brand awareness and improving the competitive advantage of Ichyo Crepes in the increasingly competitive digital marketplace. The findings also provide practical insights for MSMEs seeking to optimize digital marketing initiatives to improve brand visibility and sustain business growth.
