Abstract

Jamali Village in Cianjur Regency has great potential in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector, but does not yet have integrated and accurate data as a basis for policy making. This community service activity aims to form a MSME data collection team involving the collaboration of several universities under the coordination of LLDIKTI Region III, namely Gunadarma University, Labora Management College, ISWI Academy of Fine Arts & Design, and Perbanas Institute. Activities included basic data collection training, preparation of survey instruments, implementation of field data collection, and digitization of MSME data. As a result, a village data collection team consisting of residents and students was formed, and an initial database of Jamali Village MSMEs was compiled. This collaboration shows the real synergy between the world of higher education and the community in supporting data-based village economic development.

Abstract

Community service is one of the implementations of the tridharma of university which aims to build harmonious relationships between universities and the community. One form of community service implementation that has a significant social impact is the orphan assistance program. This activity not only provides social assistance to communities in need, but also serves as a means of social learning for students in fostering empathy, solidarity, and social awareness. LABORA School of Management implements the tridharma by implementing the Al Gugel orphan assistance program in Bogor based on community service to increase student social awareness. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method through observation, documentation, and interviews with students and beneficiary communities. The results of the activity show that the orphan assistance program is able to increase student social participation, strengthen humanitarian values, and build a caring character for the social environment. In addition, this activity has a positive impact on orphans through material assistance and moral support provided by the academic community. The community service program based on social assistance is considered effective in building a humanistic campus culture that is oriented towards social values.
