Abstract

This research aims to (1) measure the IoT-based wind potential using wind speed and direction data collected through microcontrollers at heights of 6, 8, 10, and 12 meters; (2) determine the wind potential based on wind speed and direction in Mojolaban Sub-district; and (3) identify suitable wind turbine recommendations that align with the measurement area's conditions. The research was conducted using an experimental method. The data sources for this study include wind speed and direction measured using IoT-based microcontrollers. Purposive sampling was used for sample collection. The instruments used for data collection include anemometers for measuring wind speed and wind vanes for determining wind direction. Validation techniques involved using anemometers and compasses. The data analysis was performed using descriptive quantitative analysis. The research results indicate that the highest average wind speed occurs at a height of 12 meters. Mojolaban Sub-district has an average wind speed of 0.75 m/s, with the dominant wind direction from the north, and a maximum speed of 3.43 m/s. The wind potential in that area is not sufficiently high to be effectively utilized as a significant wind energy source due to its low level and insufficient magnitude. Vertical Savonius wind turbines are a suitable choice for harnessing low wind speeds in Mojolaban Sub-district.

Abstract

Energi surya, sebagai salah satu sumber energi alternatif utama yang jumlahnya melimpah dan dampak lingkungan yang minimal, memegang peranan penting dalam penyediaan energi listrik di dunia. Panel surya akan menghasilkan daya listrik yang maksimal bila intensitas radiasi matahari yang diterima juga maksimal. Untuk itu panel surya harus dikontrol agar posisinya selalu tegak lurus terhadap Matahari. Dengan melihat permasalahan tersebut maka diperlukan solar tracking agar posisi panel surya bergerak tegak lurus dengan posisi Matahari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan daya yang dihasilkan panel surya menggunakan sistem solar tracking dan sistem tetap. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen berupa penelitian langsung pada panel surya. Pada penelitian ini solar tracking menggunakan mikrokontroler berbasis logika fuzzy yang memanfaatkan sensor cahaya untuk memerintahkan motor listrik bergerak mengikuti posisi Matahari secara otomatis. Sedangkan pada sistem tetap, posisi panel surya berada pada sudut paling optimal yaitu 24°. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengukur arus listrik dan tegangan listrik yang dihasilkan kedua panel surya. Dari hasil pengukuran tersebut diperoleh besaran daya listrik yang dihasilkan oleh panel surya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa solar tracker berbasis logika fuzzy menghasilkan rata-rata daya keluaran harian yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan sistem tetap yaitu 7,86 W. Penggunaan logika fuzzy membantu mikrokontroler dalam memberikan inferensi terbaik mengenai arah putaran matahari. panel agar selalu tegak lurus dengan arah datangnya radiasi matahari.

Abstract

The duration of the internship program in Indonesia has changed, from 3 months to 6 months. Increasing the duration of the internship program requires a supportive monitoring model, considering the problem of student attendance and the limited costs of monitoring the internship program. The AppSheet platform is a solution that needs to be developed and implemented as a support tool for student monitoring. The research method uses a qualitative phenomenological, to find out the results of implementing the AppSheet application as an online attendance and recap of the attendance of automotive engineering students at SMK N 5 Surakarta during the internship program from April 1 to September 30, 2023. Observation Interview data and documentation are presented in text form descriptive narrative, through interactive analysis techniques. As a result, the AppSheet application helps teachers monitor student attendance during industrial work practices, makes it easier to detect student absences, and becomes the basis for providing personal and group guidance for students who experience problems during the internship program.

Abstract

Low company and employee awareness of occupational safety and health (K3) can have a crucial impact in the form of work-related accidents and occupational diseases. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of OSH awareness by employees at Textile Company, knows the impact of the attitude of employees who ignore the important of K3 awareness, and knows the efforts of the company and employees in preventing work accident. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The data sources for this research were obtained directly from employee work activities, interviews with section heads, shift heads, office staff, 4 employees and documents in the form of employess attendance data, company administration data, machine data, equipment data, materials data, and accident health data. Work, the sampling technique was carried out by means of purposive sampling. Meanwhile, data collection was carried out using interview techniques, observation and document study. The data analysis technique used is source triangulation and methode triangulation. The data analysis technique used is the interactive data analysis model of Miles and Huberman which consist of data reduction stages, presenting data, and making conclusions. Furthermore, the results of the study show that the level of employee awareness of occupational safety and health is seen from several aspects, namely the use machine, tools, materials, and working environment conditions, work methods, work position, and employee lifting loads, interpersonal relationship, roles and responsibilities towards work, as well as hygiene facilities that are clean and healthy. The impact of the low level of company and employee awareness of K3 can cause work-related accidents and occupational diseases which are divide into 3 causal factors, namely technical factors, non-technical factors, and natural factors. Efforts made by companies and employees in preventing work accident are efforts to prevent work accidents using hazard control in workplace, prevention efforts through guidance and supervision, and prevention efforts through management systems.

Abstract

The electrification ratio in Indonesia is currently still 87%. This means that there are still 8.5 million residents or the equivalent of 2500 villages that have not received electricity. Indonesia has a lot of potential for renewable energy such as water energy. 7 GW capacity from renewable energy, 66% of which comes from hydropower. The manufacture of pico-hydro scale power plants can be a cheap alternative. Pico-hydro can be applied to irrigation canals so that it can produce small-scale electrical energy. One type of water turbine that can be utilized is a vortex type water turbine. The study used experimental methods. The independent variables are variations in the number of blades 2, 4, and 6 and the distance between the blades and the outlet is 1 cm. The dependent variable of the research is the power and efficiency produced by the vortex water turbine. The data analysis technique in this study used quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The basin used is a conical basin type with the upper diameter is 40 cm, the lower/oulet diameter is 6.5 cm, and the height is 32 cm. The water discharge in this test has 7 variations, that is 1,12 l/s, 1,26 l/s, 1,54 l/s, 1,68 l/s, 1,82 l/s, 1,96 l/s, and 2,11 l/s. This test produced the highest electrical output power of 9.66 Watts, at a total of 2 blades, the discharge is 1,86 l/s. At the number of blades 6 at a discharge of 1.96 l / d is the highest efficiency value of 6.3%.
