Abstract

Development (R&D) research using research procedures using the ADDIE development model which includes five stages (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The subjects of the study were students of grade VII SMP N 44 Palembang. The results of this study show that valid E-Modules are seen based on the assessment of validation questionnaire sheets from validators obtained that the developed e-modules are declared very valid with a validity percentage of 88.26%. Practical E-Modules are seen based on the assessment of student response questionnaires, it is found that the e-modules developed are declared very practical with a percentage of practicality of 85.76%. An effective E-Module can be seen from the results of students' answers to the learning outcomes test with the percentage of student learning outcomes tests reaching 81.6% which is included in the very good category.

Abstract

This research explores the utilization of an e-module with the context of local wisdom from South Sumatra in mathematics education at the junior high school level. Involving ninth-grade students from four different schools in South Sumatra, the study aims to evaluate students' responses to the e-module. The research methodology includes One-to-one and small group stages, focusing on clarity, user-friendliness, and students' interest in the e-module content. The findings indicate that students responded positively to the e-module, expressing high enthusiasm for multimedia features such as images, videos, and interactive exercises. The diversity of multimedia elements aids in visually and contextually explaining mathematical concepts, making learning more engaging. The flexibility of the e-module allows students to learn independently anywhere and anytime, overcoming constraints of space and time in traditional learning settings. The integration of local wisdom is recognized as an added value, providing students with additional insights into the culture of South Sumatra. So it can be concluded that the use of e-modules in the context of local wisdom from South Sumatra has a positive impact on mathematics learning at junior high school level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' high-order thinking skills (HOTS) in solving PISA-like mathematics problem based on the indicators of evaluation ability. The research method used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used were documentation, test, and interview. Results show that 30 students of junior high school Xaverius 1 Palembang who had completed the problem, there were 73% of students' thinking ability is still low, especially in evaluate. Indicators evaluate appear if students are able to analyze the problem appropriately, understand the intent of the question correctly, and provide the right reason/evidence. Based on the analysis of students’ answer and interview, it can be conclude that only 6% out of 30 students categorized well in evaluation stage when solving mathematics problem such as PISA.

Abstract

The ability that receives considerable attention from the field of education is the ability to think creatively. This research aims to produce teaching materials in the form of worksheets for mathematics students based on an open ended approach with a valid and practical local wisdom context. The research method used is the development research method which has 2 stages, namely using the formative evaluation model from Tessmer (1998). The first stage is the preliminary stage (preparation and design stage) and the second stage is the formative evaluation stage (self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group, and field test). The sample in the study was 23 students in grade VIII. Data collection was carried out using validation sheets, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research are in the form of worksheets for mathematics students based on the open ended approach with a valid local wisdom context based on the comments and suggestions provided by the validator and declared valid by the expert team at the expert review stage and produce a mathematical LKPD based on an open ended approach with a practical local wisdom context according to the calculation of the student response questionnaire in the one-to-one phase, small group, and field test. The results of validation by experts showed a validity rate of 85.9, while the practicality level of the trial reached 82.2.

Abstract

This study develops a learning medium as a Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on Augmented Reality (AR) to support mathematics learning. The media is available only on Android devices and was developed using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. Research instruments include interviews, evaluation tests, validation sheets, and student response surveys. Mathematical education lecturers conducted validation, while practicality testing consisted of individual, small-group, and field trials. Data were analyzed both quantitatively and subjectively. The validity results showed a score of 0.78 with the category “at the moment”. The practical result indicated that the AR-based LKPD was in the “highly practical” category, with an average score of 4.24 and a completion rate of 83%. Moreover, AR-based LKPD enhanced student engagement, reduced learning fatigue, and improved mathematics learning outcomes. These findings imply that the AR-based LKPD can serve as an innovative alternative in mathematics learning and hold potential for broader implementation to improve the quality of teaching and learning processes
