Abstract

Biology learning at the senior high school level requires the support of interactive learning media to help students understand complex and abstract biological concepts. This study aims to analyze the need for interactive biology learning media among tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 5 Tuban. A quantitative descriptive method was employed, using non-test data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and teacher interviews. The instrument was developed using a Guttman scale (Yes/No) consisting of 15 items grouped into three aspects: learning media needs, accessibility and ease of use of learning media, and learning motivation and interest. The subjects of this study were tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 5 Tuban. Data were analyzed descriptively to determine the level of students’ needs for interactive biology learning media. The results showed that the learning media needs aspect reached 92%, accessibility and ease of use reached 85%, and motivation and learning interest reached 99%, with an overall average of 92%, categorized as a very high level of need. These findings indicate that students have a very high demand for interactive biology learning media, highlighting the importance of developing interactive biology learning materials that align with students’ needs and characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity of guided inquiry-based interactive learning media in improving students' Science Process Skills (SPS). The research used a research and development (R&D) approach with a 4D development model, encompassing the stages of definition, design, development, and dissemination, but limited to the development stage. Data were collected using a validation sheet covering aspects of content/material, systematics, language, graphics, and science process skills. This was conducted by expert validators, namely two lecturers from the Department of Biology Education. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques using validity formulas and criteria for interpreting product validity scores. The results showed that the overall average validation test result for the interactive learning media obtained a score of 89%, indicating a very valid category. Therefore, the validity of the guided inquiry-based interactive learning media has reached product validity and can be developed into the dissemination stage.

Abstract

The development of the times encourages various renewal efforts in the use of technology in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to design and test the validity of interactive learning media based on QR Code integrated with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model for junior high school students. The research method used is the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluate. The data collection technique is carried out through a product validation sheet filled out by five expert validators, consisting of three lecturers and two subject teachers. The validation results show that the material/content aspect obtained an average score of 84.61%, the systematic/graphics aspect was 81.42%, and the language aspect was 88%. The overall average of the three aspects reached 84.67%, which is categorized as very valid. In addition, the user-friendly aspect obtained an average score of 85.3%, while the ease of use aspect reached 93.8%, with a combined average of 89.55%. These findings indicate that QR Code-based interactive learning media is feasible and can be an innovative alternative to support active problem-based learning at the junior high school level.

Abstract

The advancement of science and technology encourages the integration of technology in education, especially in science education. This study aims to develop Interactive Multimedia and Deep Learning-Based Science Learning Media to improve scientific literacy, while testing the validity of learning media products. This study uses an R&D approach with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), which only reaches the development stage. Data were collected through validation sheets assessed by 3 expert validators. The data analysis technique in this study used quantitative analysis. The results of the validity test showed an average of: Material (86%), Systematics (89.3%), Language (88.3%), and Graphics (90.5%). The overall average score of 88.5% with this product category is very valid. Based on these results, it is stated that the validity test of the Validity of Interactive Multimedia Learning Media Integrated Deep Learning for Science Subjects to Improve Scientific Literacy is stated to be very valid, therefore further research is needed on the effectiveness and practicality test so that the product can be used in learning.
