Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of methanol-blended fuel variations on fuel consumption and exhaust emissions Honda Supra X125 FI. The background of this research is the need for environmentally friendly and efficient alternative fuels to reduce air pollution from motorized vehicles. Methanol was chosen as an additive due to its high octane number and oxygen content in its structure, which can improve combustion efficiency. The tests were conducted using a Honda Supra X125 FI motorcycle with five fuel mixture variations: 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% methanol in Shell V-Power. Data were collected using a gas aalyzer and a dynamometer to measure fuel consumption and CO and HC emission levels. The results show that methanol addition increases fuel consumption by up to 17.99% in the 20% methanol mixture due to methanol's lower calorific value compared to gasoline. However, CO emissions decreased by 23% and HC emissions by 19.26%. The 10% methanol mixture is optimal as it balances combustion efficiency and fuel consumption. The findings indicate that methanol has potential as a fuel additive for reducing emissions in gasoline motorcycles, although higher methanol concentrations may increase fuel consumption.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a website-based multimedia product, Project Three, for body painting learning and to examine its feasibility, effectiveness, and student responses in vocational automotive education. The research used a research and development design with the ADDIE model, covering analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The product was implemented in the Light Vehicle Body Engineering Department of SMKN 5 Kendal using a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 23 grade XI students. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, learning achievement tests, reliability testing, normality testing, non-parametric statistical testing, N-gain analysis, and student response questionnaires. The developed multimedia obtained very feasible validation scores from media experts at 93.60% and material experts at 97.05%. The test instrument showed excellent reliability, with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.984 for 35 items. The normality test indicated non-normal data distribution, while the statistical test showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. The N-gain mean was 0.6716, categorized as moderate, with an effectiveness percentage of 67.16%, indicating that the product was quite effective. Student responses reached 84.09%, categorized as appropriate. Project Three is feasible and moderately effective for supporting body painting learning outcomes in vocational high school settings.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of interactive learning media based on Smart Apps Creator (SAC) for the topic of lighting and signaling systems in light vehicles, intended for Grade XI students of the Light Vehicle Engineering Program at SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga. The background of this research stems from low student achievement and the limited use of engaging instructional media at SMK N 2 Salatiga, which has resulted in students having difficulty understanding the electrical system material. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The developed media underwent validation by subject matter experts and media experts, receiving "highly feasible" ratings with feasibility percentages of 90.25% from the media expert and 88% from the subject matter expert. The effectiveness was tested through pretest and posttest evaluations analyzed using the N-Gain test. The N-Gain score from 34 students yielded an average of 0.324, which falls into the "moderate" category. It can thus be concluded that the learning media based on Smart Apps Creator provided to students is moderately effective in improving their learning outcomes.

Abstract

The readiness of Vocational High School (SMK) teachers to implement the deep learning approach in the Merdeka Curriculum is analyzed through a systematic literature review. A total of 20 accredited national journal articles (2022–2026) sourced from Garuda, Google Scholar, and DOAJ were examined. The synthesis results reveal three main themes. First, teachers’ readiness is influenced by internal factors (self-efficacy, pedagogical competence, digital literacy, and emotional regulation) and external factors (learning environment, institutional support, industry partnerships, and professional learning communities). Second, strategies for implementing deep learning in vocational schools include project-based learning, teaching factory models, authentic assessment, integration of AI and coding, and social-emotional learning. Third, major challenges include limited teacher understanding, diverse student readiness, time constraints, inadequate digital infrastructure, and suboptimal process-based evaluation systems. Based on a comparison of strategies, hands-on training methods (75% practical activities) conducted over three days and combined with love-based education were found to be the most effective in improving teacher competence (+53.2 points). Strengthening continuous AI-based training, improving digital infrastructure, and developing teacher learning communities are recommended.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan pembahaman mendalam mengenai praktik supervisi akademik di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) yang kerap berlangsung secara seremonial dan berorientasi administratif. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada bagaimana praktik seremonial tersebut memengaruhi perkembangan pforesional guru serta kualitas pembelajaran dikelas. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan critical literature review dengan menelaah artikel nasional dan internasional terbitan 2020-2025 yang membahasa supervisi akedemik, supervisi klins, instructional coaching, dan budaya organisasi pendidikan. Analisis dilalakukan melalui proses thematic coding untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan kecenderungan dalam praktik supervisi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik di banyak SMK masih didominasi pemeriksaan dokumen, observasi formalitas, dan pengisisan instrumen yang tidak diikuti umpan balik mendalam. Guru sering memaknae supervisi sebagai kegiatan adminstratif sehingga manfaat pedagogisnya tidak optimal. Studi ini juga mengungkap tiga faktor utama penyebab munculnya praktik seremonia: yaitu, 1) beban administratif yang tinggi, 2) keterbatasan kompetensi supervisor dalam memberikan umpan balik berbasis bukti, dan 3) budaya sekolah yang menghindari kritik langsung. Kebaruan dari penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi konsep supervisi klinis, coaching berkelanjutan, dan bukti kelas sebagai dasar rekonstruksi model supervisi akademik di SMK. Studi ini menegaskan bahwa supervisis yang transformatif hanya dapat dicapai dengan mengadopsi pendekatan kolaboratif, reflektif, dan berorientasi pengembangan profesional guru, bukan sekadar kepatuhan prosedural.
