Abstract

This community service program aimed to implement waste management and greening initiatives to support the development of an environmentally friendly school at SDN 1 Kesugihan. The program employed the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach by actively involving school stakeholders, including the principal, teachers, students, and parents. The activities consisted of 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) socialization, waste sorting practices, recycling activities, tree planting, and school greening programs. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and interviews with teachers and students to evaluate program implementation and its impact. The results showed increased student participation in waste management activities, improved environmental awareness, and the successful establishment of school greening initiatives through the use of recycled materials as planting media. The program also strengthened collaboration among school stakeholders and supported the development of sustainable environmental education practices. Overall, the ABCD-based approach effectively contributed to creating a cleaner, greener, and more environmentally responsible school culture.
