Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan humor dalam Ketoprak Tjonthong yang meliputi konsep, pola, dan ideologinya. Ketoprak Tjonthong merupakan grup ketoprak yang dibentuk di Yogyakarta tahun 2004 dan telah berhasil mementaskan sebanyak 33 lakon dimulai dari Lakon Minggat (2004) sampai dengan Lakon Walidarma (2019). Objek kajian penelitian ini adalah lakon Panguwasa Samodra (2019). Di samping dua lakon lain yang diamati untuk membantu analisis yaitu lakon Baron Sakendher dan lakon Keris Mataram. Adapun analisis tentang konsep humor, pola dan ideologinya akan digunakan teori humor dari Arthur Berger dan kajian struktural. Langkah penelitian yang dilakukan terdiri dari 2 tahap, yaitu tahap pengumpulan data dan tahap analisis data. Data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan studi pustaka dan bedah naskah. Sedangkan tahap analisis data dilakukan dengan melacak peristiwa yang terjadi, klasifikasi data, untuk menemukan konsep humor, pola, dan ideologi Ketoprak Tjonthong. Hasilnya ditemukan sekitar 16 konsep humor lakon Panguwasa Samodra, di antaranya adalah bombast, irony, misunderstanding, pun, repartee, sarcasm, sexual allusion, conceptual surprise, absurd, repetition, ignorance, embarrassment, imitation, clumsiness, chase, dan exaggeration. Selain itu, terdapat tiga pola humor dalam Ketoprak Tjonthong yaitu pola pengkarakteran pemain, pola penamaan tokoh, dan pola pengadegan. Berkaitan dengan ideologi, terdapat tiga hal yang menjadi ciri khas Ketoprak Tjonthong dan selalu menjadi konsep dasar pementasannya yaitu menggarap fenomena sosial masyarakat, mengangkat cerita-cerita baru dalam khasanah ketoprak, dan menggunakan humor satir sebagai presentasi estetisnya.Kata kunci: Ketoprak Tjonthong, konsep humor, pola humor, ideologiThis study aims to explain the humour in Ketoprak Tjonthong, which includes its concepts, patterns, and ideology. Ketoprak Tjonthong is a ketoprak group that was formed in Yogyakarta in 2004 and has successfully performed 33 plays starting from Lakon Minggat (2004) to Lakon Walidarma (2019). The object of this research study is the play Panguwasa Samodra (2019). In addition to the two other plays that were observed to assist the analysis, they were the Baron Sakendher play, and the Keris Mataram play. As for the analysis of the concept of humour, its patterns and ideology, the theory of humour from Arthur Berger and structural studies will be used. The research step consisted of 2 stages, namely the data collection stage and the data analysis stage. First, data were collected by conducting literature studies and text review. At the same time, the data analysis stage was carried out by tracking the events that occurred, classifying the data, to find the humorous concept, patterns, and ideology of Ketoprak Tjonthong. The results found around 16 humorous concepts for the Panguwasa Samodra play, including bombast, irony, misunderstanding, pun, repartee, sarcasm, sexual allusion, conceptual surprise, absurd, repetition, ignorance, embarrassment, imitation, clumsiness, chase, and exaggeration. In addition, there are three humour patterns in Ketoprak Tjonthong, namely the character pattern, the character naming pattern, and the scene pattern. Regarding ideology, three things characterize Ketoprak Tjonthong and have always been the basic concept of its performances, namely working on social phenomena in society, bringing up new stories in the realm of ketoprak, and using satirical humour as its aesthetic presentation.Keywords: Ketoprak Tjonthong, the concept of humour, humour patterns, ideology

Abstract

This study aims to find a characterization technique that can be applied in building puppet characters by puppets students. This study uses a theater approach that is the theory of techniques of Pemeranan. Behavioral technique is a common technique that can be learned to improve the skills, acumen, and skills of a cast in the role of a drama character. The method used is the observation method involved. The results are found that as a cast, puppet pupils need to have basic capital of character and be able to master basic techniques of characterization. In relation to the role techniques that puppeteers can learn to improve their character building abilities are the techniques of breathing, vocal techniques, content-giving techniques, development techniques, peak engineering, protrusion techniques, and improvisation techniques.Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan teknik pemeranan yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam membangun karakter tokoh wayang oleh mahasiswa Jurusan Pedalangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan teater yakni konsep teknik pemeranan.Teknik pemeranan merupakan teknik umum yang dapat dipelajari untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan, ketajaman, dan kecakapan seorang pemeran dalam memerankan karakter tokoh drama. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pengamatan terlibat. Adapun hasil yang ditemukan ialah mahasiswa pedalangan sebagai seorang pemeran, perlu memiliki modal dasar pemeranan dan harus mampu menguasai teknik dasar pemeranan. Adapun teknik pemeranan yang dapat dipelajari oleh mahasiswa Pedalangan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membangun karakter adalah teknik pernapasan, teknik olah vokal, teknik memberi isi, teknik pengembangan, teknik membina puncak, teknik penonjolan, dan teknik improvisasi.

Abstract

AbstractThis paper aimed to examine kartisampéka Trigantalpati in the Gandamana Tundhung play performed by Ki Hadi Sugito. Kartisampéka is an act of deluding others subtly and not automatically visible to other people (sinamun sinamudana). Kartisampéka has a negative connotation because the actions carried out are aimed at harming others. The data analysis was carried out by using descriptive analytical method. This study succeeded in finding kartisampéka as a sub-theme of the Gandamana Tundhung play performed by Ki Hadi Sugito. The kartisampéka concept which attached to the Trigantalpati character was used to build the plot for the Gandamana Tundhung play performed by Ki Hadi Sugito. AbstrakTulisan ini bertujuan mengkaji kartisampéka Trigantalpati dalam lakon Gandamana Tundhung Ki Hadi Sugito. Kartisampéka ialah perbuatan memperdaya orang lain secara halus dan tidak serta merta dapat dilihat oleh orang lain (sinamun sinamudana). Kartisampéka mengandung konotasi negatif, karena perbuatan yang dilakukan bertujuan mencelakakan orang lain. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif analitis. Kajian ini berhasil menemukan kartisampéka sebagai sub-tema dari lakon Gandamana Tundhung Ki Hadi Sugito. Konsep kartisampéka yang dilekatkan pada tokoh Trigantalpati digunakan untuk membangun plot lakon Gandamana Tundhung Ki Hadi Sugito.

Abstract

This article is aimed at discussing the form of wayang performance and sacred (sakti) concept on Sawitri shadow puppet play performed by Ki Nartosabdo. It employes hermeneutics and dramaturgy approaches. Based on the analysis it can be concluded that the main theme is “destiny can be changed” (kodrat bisa diwiradat). The mandate given in the story is that with sincerity, loyalty, and persistence, everything can be changed. The main character of the story is Dewi Sawitri. The wayang performance is presented with Surakarta style. The sacred (sakti) concept in Sawitri is manifested in spiritual behaviour, loyalty, her unwavering and unyielding stance in living her life. It is proved that she is able to contribute positively to her husband, parent in-law, parent, and the environment.Keywords: sacred, shadow pupet performance, Surakarta style

Abstract

AbstractThe work of wayang babad performance Harya Penangsang is aimed at presenting the story of Harya Penangsang which originally came from the kethoprak performance into the wayang babad performance. In addition to the transformation from kethoprak to wayang babad performance, this work aims to present the work of Harya Penangsang figures. The concept transformation of Sapardi Djoko Damono is used as a frame of mind. The development of this work began by observing and analyzing the performance of the wayang performance about Harya Penangsang that had been staged by several dalang. In addition, it also tracks the character of Harya Penangsang through kethoprak stories and in some serat babad. Next is a draft storyline, which includes events and settings. From this, the character plans the characterization, theme, and trust and visualization of the characters.AbstrakKarya pakeliran wayang babad lakon Harya Penangsang ini bertujuan menghadirkan kisah Harya Penangsang yang semula berasal dari pertunjukan kethoprak ke dalam pertunjukan wayang babad. Selain transformasi dari kethoprak ke pakeliran wayang babad, karya ini bertujuan menyajikan garap tokoh Harya Penangsang. Konsep alih wahana Sapardi Djoko Damono digunakan sebagai kerangka pikir. Penggarapan karya ini dimulai dengan mengamati dan menganalisis pergelaran lakon wayang babad lakon Harya Penangsang yang pernah dipentaskan oleh beberapa dalang. Selain itu juga melacak karakter Harya Penangsang melalui kisah-kisah kethoprak dan dalam beberapa serat babad. Selanjutnya dibuat draft alur cerita, yang mencakup peristiwa dan setting. Dari sini, pengkarya merencanakan penokohan, tema, dan amanah serta visualisasi tokoh-tokohnya.

Abstract

AbstractThe puppet performance Dendam Trigantalpati is a reinterpretation of the story of Tri- gantalpati which is sourced to three performance, namely Banjaran Sengkuni Ki Purbo Asmoro, Jumenengan Pandhu Ki Manteb Sudarsono, and Gandamana Tundhung version of Ki Hadi Sugito. The concept of sanggit Soetarno, et al. was used to respond to the three performance. The method used in this work is the exploratory method. The stages that go through are observing the play, selecting and sorting out events, processing events, compiling plays. The result of the reinterpretation of the three performance above is Trigantalpati as someone who cannot control ego and revenge.AbstrakLakon Dendam Trigantalpati adalah sebuah tafsir ulang kisah Trigantalpati yang bersumber pada tiga lakon yaitu lakon Banjaran Sengkuni versi Ki Purbo Asmoro, Jumenengan Pandhu versi Ki Manteb Sudarsono, dan Gandamana Tundhung versi Ki Hadi Sugito. Konsep sanggit Soetarno, dkk. digunakan untuk merespon tiga lakon tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam karya ini adalah metode eksploratif. Adapun tahapan yang dilalui adalah mencermati lakon, memilih dan memilah peristiwa, mengolah peristiwa, menyusun lakon. Hasil tafsir ulang dari tiga lakon di atas adalah Trigantalpati sebagai seseorang yang tidak bisa mengendalikan ego dan rasa dendam.
