Abstract

Bangkoa Port is not yet ideal as a TOD center, especially for commuters around the city which are the biggest contributor to transportation activities within the scope of Maminasata. This study aims to identify the criteria for implementing Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and determine the direction of the Bangkoa Port Development Area.. The analysis was carried out by means of a qualitative descriptive analysis technique for existing conditions and a comparative analysis comparing existing conditions to the ideal area, and using SWOT analysis to determine the direction of the development strategy and AHP analysis to determine the priority hierarchy of the concept of TOD treatment in the Timber Port Area Bangkoa. The results of this study indicate that 1) Based on the analysis results, there are 3 aspects that are in accordance with the TOD technical criteria, namely the character of development, the intensity of space use, mix and diversity of space use. There are 3 aspects that are not appropriate, namely the regional transit system, the parking system, the pedestrian way, and public spaces; 2) Kayu Bangkoa port Area in quadrant I shows a growth strategy (increasing growth through designing integrated monorail route plans and stations with space utilization, optimizing long-term transit modes connected by short-term transit modes, planning monorail stations connected to service centers.

Abstract

In general, pedestrian lanes on the corridor road section Aroepala Street and Letjen Hertasning Street has not fulfilled the expectations of its users, due to the width of the pedestrian lane that has not met the standards, the incomplete street furniture, and the use of parking areas on the shoulder of the road exacerbating pedestrian inconvenience in the corridor of the area. The purpose of this planning is to identify the performance of pedestrian lanes and pedestrian perceptions as well as arrange direction for handling pedestrian lanes on these roads. This plan begins with a study using Level of Service (LOS), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and correlation analysis. Preparation of directives for handling is done based on LOS calculation and priority level of pedestrian lines. The results of this study are the level of pedestrian service on Street Letjen Hertasning is classified as LOS B and LOS C while for Aroepala Street has no pedestrian path so the LOS value cannot be determined. The level of suitability between the level of importance and satisfaction of pedestrians to the pedestrian lane in the study location is classified as inappropriate. This can be seen based on the percentage level of conformity, where the four segments in the variables of comfort, safety and attractiveness have a level of conformity below 100%. The direction of planning that is carried out is the provision of priority indicators for pedestrian lane facilities using illustrated plan drawings and handling maps in the form of improvements and new development.

Abstract

The more complex and large role of a city will affect the rate of population growth. This occurs in Makassar City, which is one of the largest cities in Eastern Indonesia with a population growth rate of 1.32% in 2017 which is impact to the shifting of urban functions towards the outskirts and the tendency to occur in urban sprawl in Biringkanaya District Makassar City. This study using spatial analysis and soring analysis, to find out the significant variables using multiple linear regression analysis and to determine the direction carried out by SWOT and AHP techniques. The results of the analysis show that 1) the classification of urban sprawl characteristics in Biringkanaya District is divided into 4 typologies; 2) variable population density, building density, distance from the city center, development within the range of road networks and the pattern of frog jumping simultaneously influencing the development of urban sprawl in Biringkanaya District, Makassar City with a 95% determination rate. 3). The strategy in eliminating the development of urban sprawl in Biringkanaya District, Makassar City can be done through community service planning, intermodal transportation provision, opportunities for investors to collaborate and control to control building construction in a compact manner.

Abstract

Makassar City as the largest metropolitan city in the area of East Indonesia encountered continuous population growth rate of 1,32% in 2017. This has an impact on high land demand, resulting in the development of the city outwards which if not well managed will cause urban sprawl problems. Therefore the concept of a compact city emerged as one of the concepts aimed at revitalizing the impact of urban sprawl. This study uses a varitey of analytical techniques that are modified to the purposes which are to identify the level of compactness using quantitaive statistical analysis and scoring analysis, to find out significant factors using multiple linear regression analysis, and to formulate strategies carried out by SWOT analysis. The analysis shows that; 1) the classification of compactness level in Makassar is divided into 4 typologies, 2) population density and ratio of public transport routes simultaneously affect the compactness of Makassar City with 95% detremination rate,3) There are four priority instructions by developing strategies such as transportation adn infrastructure plans, integration and revitalization of city centers, TOD, and mixed use zoning and mixed use building development.
