Lamputang Island is one of the small islands in Pangkep Regency, with a total population of 439 people. Based on statistics, this island has changed its shape and area every year, since 2013-2018 this island has changed an area of 1.1 hectares. This study aims to determine the level of the threat of abrasion based on physical characteristics on Lamputang Island, the level of vulnerability of the abrasion area based on settlement patterns on Lamputang Island and the direction of settlement arrangement based on abrasion mitigation on Lamputang Island. This research was conducted from June 2019 to February 2020. This research is located on Lamputang Island, Pangkep Regency. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and literature studies. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative methods, quantitative threats and vulnerabilities and spatial. The results showed that Lamputang Island was at a moderate level of threat and high vulnerability, with a random settlement pattern. The direction for settlement arrangement on this island is in the form of zoning for areas prone to abrasion, settlement mitigation, and arrangement of settlement patterns.

Housing facilities and basic infrastructures supply for community in Gowa Regency filled by various programs, such as Kota Tanpa Kumuh (Kotaku). This program aims to increasing basic infrastructure access and service in urban slum housing to support the implementation of livable, sustainable and productive urban housing, particularly in Kelurahan Samata. This research aims to identify the types of public participation, analyze the level of community participation and analyze the factors that affect the level of participation in maintenance base settlement in Kelurahan Samata by comparing two residential areas covered by the infrastructure improvement programs and residential areas that underserved environmental improvement program. This research was conducted on March to September 2020 in Kelurahan Samata. This research uses descriptive statistical analysis and simple linear regression analysis with SPSS 25. The result show that: 1) The form of public participation in two residential areas does not have a significant difference, is dominated by participation in the form of energy, each 51.92% and 50%; 2) Level of community participation in maintaining basic housing infrastructure in programmed areas is at level of citizen control participation, while in suburban areas with programs that are not implemented is at level of delegated power; and 3) Factor that affects level of participation in community by maintaining basic infrastructures on two residential areas using stepwise method on SPSS 25 affected by three variables, job, frequency, and motivation.

Clean water services are still a problem faced by the Makassar City government, South Sulawesi. The high demand for clean water services is currently not being handled properly. The aim of this research is to determine the factors that affect clean water services and the problems. This research was conducted from April 2019 to January 2020 (10 months). This research used primary and secondary data. The analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis with qualitative and quantitative approaches and spatial analysis through mapping using the ArcMap application. The results showed that the factors affecting clean water services in Makassar City are clean water sources, production capacity, location, number of people served, climate, water loss (leakage), water treatment management, and financing. Problems experienced by the community in clean water services in Makassar City are leaks, not running water, checking bills, problematic meters, dirty and smelly water, broken pipes, problematic payments and others (new installation and moving meters). To fulfill the need for clean water in Makassar City, can be added with additional water sources which are processed and distributed to the community, by using water from rivers around Makassar City and utilizing rain water harvesting or seawater desalination. In addition, it is necessary to improve the clean water distribution system and water treatment management from the source to the distribution of water to the community to reduce the level of water loss.

The strategic position of the beach tends to be neglected by the development of informal dwellings in the Tanjung Bayang Coastal Area that has not yet paid attention to the rules of building layout. The purpose of this study was to identify residential sites, tourism facilities, accessibility, tourism support infrastructure, economic, social and cultural aspects of the area management system, and to arrange directions for the development of residential tourism potential supporters in Tanjung Bayang. Data collection methods used are, field observations, questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies. The data obtained is then processed using descriptive analysis techniques with qualitative, quantitative, comparative, and spatial analysis approaches. The results of this study indicate that, dwelling sites have a relatively low density with a distance between houses ≤ 2m. Non-stage footprint is located on the border area of the beach, but safe from high tide. The tourist support facilities (bale-bale) tend to be dense (5 units / 1 roof) and the rinse building has not served the entire area. access to the area is a function of local roads that lie between the walls of real estate, not yet equipped with markers and pedestrian paths. There is no TPS or waste disposal depot. The electricity network for buildings is adequate, but there are no lighting for bale-bales and rental residences. The dominant community works and utilizes beach facilities as a livelihood. The proposed concept of directives is the development of residential houses into rental housing and the development of facilities, infrastructure, accessibility, and community-based area management systems.

The existence of a mining company makes less attention to the surrounding local settlements so that it tends to develop into dense and irregular, without a plan in accordance with the spatial pattern of the region. The objectives of this study were (1) to identify the characteristics of settlement development, (2) to analyze the availability of facilities and infrastructure for housing around the mine area and then (3) explain the direction of the concept of settlement development, this research was conducted using qualitative and quantitative analysis, Spatial and comparative, with data collection methods are primary and secondary data, namely surveys and questionnaires from the analysis results obtained that the characteristics of settlement development, seen from housing orientation as much as 59.17% facing the road and 40.83% facing the mine. Conditions for the availability of facilities and infrastructure for housing. The availability of facilities has met the standards but, there still needs to be some additions such as educational facilities, worship and playgrounds / sports while infrastructure, the distribution of clean water has not yet been distributed, the waste water management system is not maximal, the drainage network does not function properly. development, namely environmentally friendly settlements which are more serious on developing access and circulation, namely designing a comfortable and humane pedestrian route and providing complete road facilities and infrastructure services that comply with existing standards.

The residential area located on the outskirts of the Jongaya Canal is one of the causes of pollution in the abiotic environment, such as the buildup of high-quality waste that has an impact on the contamination of Losari Beach as one of the landmarks of Makassar City. The purpose of this study is 1) to identify the community towards the condition of the edge of the Jongaya Canal 2) to identify people's preferences towards the settlements on the banks of the Jongaya Canal in Bontorannu Village, Mariso District and Maccini Sombala Sub-District, Tamalate Sub-District, Makassar City and 3) Arrange the directions for the Jongaya Canal slum in Kelurahan Bontorannu, Mariso District and Maccini Sombala Sub-District, Tamalate District, Makassar City, are community-based. The analytical method used in this study is descriptive qualitative and quantitative, and spatial analysis. The results of the study show that settlement development responsible for the community itself increases the potential and participation of the community needs to be developed in the development of existing settlements. In addition, the amount is a contribution in the construction of houses, housing and residential environments that are renewed renovation, renovation, rejuvenation of residential neighborhoods and housing development. As for the direction of this study is the construction of infrastructure networks at the research site. The research proposal is stimuli available to the public stimulation this is what needs to be engineered so that society and the environment must be as expected.

Mining is a capital-intensive industry. The mining industry has made an important contribution in the development of disadvantaged areas to become new growth centers in line with the opening of mining in the area. Kabaena Island is one of the regions in Bombana Regency which has a large enough mining sector potential, especially nickel. Despite having a large nickel potential, the island is still classified as a disadvantaged area with a low level of welfare. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the presence of nickel mining on employment of local people and its effect on improving the welfare of the community, especially those working for nickel mining companies. This study uses descriptive statistical methods, with multiple linear regression analysis techniques, comparative, comparative levels of labor welfare, and crosstab. The results of this study indicate that the presence of a nickel mining company on the island of Kabaena is able to create new jobs and absorb labor, especially local community workforce. In addition, the presence of nickel mining companies has a positive impact on the welfare of local communities, especially those working in nickel mining companies.

The existence of ecotourism has a positive influence on the surrounding community, especially in the settlements of Pannikiang Island in terms of improving the welfare of the population. This research is intended to formulate directions for the development of ecotourism-based residential areas on Pannikiang Island, Barru Regency. The integration of the direction of the development of ecotourism-based settlements on Pannikiang Island Barru Regency is done by increasing the welfare of the island's population through the potential of the region while involving the community in ecotourism. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis, quantitative descriptive, comparative and spatial analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, the direction of the development of ecotourism-based settlements on Pannikiang Island, among others, the direction of settlements as supporting accommodations for dual-function ecotourism, namely by selling processed marine and mangrove products, improving the quality of facilities and infrastructure supporting ecotourism and the direction of community-based ecotourism development.

Kawasan pesisir saat ini berkembang sangat pesat masyarakat memilih bermukim di daerah pesisir karena dekat dengan sumber mata pencaharian namun hal ini memiliki beberapa permasalahan yaitu rendahnya tingkat perekonomian masyarakat, pola dan tapak permukiman yang tidak terstruktur, serta kurangnya pengelolaan sarana-prasarana pelayanan kegiatan perikanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik masyarakat nelayan, menganalisis tapak permukiman dan sarana prasarana pelayanan terhadap kegiatan perikanan, dan merumuskan konsep penataan permukiman nelayan terhadap kegiatan perikanan sepanjang pesisir Kelurahan Ponjalae. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara, kuesioner dan data peta dari google earth berupa pola dan tata letak permukiman nelayan terhadap kegiatan perikanan sepanjang pesisir Kelurahan Ponjalae Kota Palopo. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif, deskriptif kuantitatif, komparatif dan spasial. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat bermata pencaharian sebagai nelayan dominan berasal dari suku bugis. Pola permukiman yang ada yaitu pola menyebar, berkelompok, dan linier. Sarana yang tersedia berupa cold storage, pabrik es, bengkel perahu, dan lain-lain, sedangkan prasarana berupa jaringan jalan, drainase, air bersih dan lain-lain. Arahan strategi penataan permukiman nelayan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan standar permukiman terhadap kegiatan perikanan sepanjang pesisir berupa peningkatan SDM nelayan, pengembangan sistem pemasaran, penatan tapak permukiman dengan arahan pola permukiman grid, dan peningkatan kualitas sarana-prasarana permukiman nelayan.

Roads located in the central area of Makassar City such as Jl. Ahmad Yani, Jend. Sudirman, Gunung Bulusaraung and Hos Cokroaminoto are fairly crowded centers of activity. Visually, the pedestrian lane on the road section has not met the expectations of its users. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the quality and performance to achieve optimal planning. This study aims to determine the quality and performance of pedestrian lines in the central area of Makassar City. Data collection methods used are, observation, questionnaire, documentation and literature study. The analytical method used is the analysis of Level of Service (LOS) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The results of this study are that the pedestrian path in the study area in general does not meet the pedestrian path planning standards. The level of pedestrian service in general is on Jl. Ahmad Yani and Jend. Sudirman is classified as LOS A, on Jl. G. Bulusaraung is classified as LOS E and Jl. Hos Cokroaminoto has no pedestrian path. Based on the perception of the level of satisfaction of pedestrians, Jalan Ahmad Yani and Jl. Jend. Sudirman is classified as high, while on Jl. Mount Bulusaraung and Hos Cokroaminoto are classified as lacking.
