Abstract

This research aims to determine the concept, urgency, and implementation steps of a case study on the use of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning media in educational institutions. The background of the research is based on the still low utilization of innovative learning media in the PAI learning process, resulting in learning that tends to be conventional and less engaging for students. However, the use of learning media plays a crucial role in increasing students' understanding, interest in learning, and internalization of Islamic values. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method, conducting an in-depth study of the phenomenon of the use of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning media in educational settings. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that case studies are highly urgent in PAI learning because they provide a concrete picture of the learning process, the effectiveness of media use, and the challenges faced by teachers and students. The use of learning media such as audio-visual materials, instructional videos, and digital media has been proven to increase student engagement, interest in learning, and understanding of PAI material. Furthermore, systematically implementing case studies, from problem identification to learning evaluation, can assist teachers in developing more effective and modern learning innovations. Thus, case studies are a crucial approach to sustainably improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. Abstract

Qualitative research requires systematic data management to produce valid and scientifically accountable findings. This article aims to examine the concepts, techniques, and procedures of data collection, data presentation, and data analysis in qualitative research. The study employs a literature review method by analyzing various scholarly sources related to qualitative research methodology. The findings indicate that data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation, which function to obtain in-depth information while ensuring data credibility. Data presentation is the process of organizing and displaying data in the form of narratives, tables, graphs, or matrices to facilitate understanding and analysis. Meanwhile, data analysis is carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification in a continuous and interactive manner. Data trustworthiness in qualitative research can be enhanced through triangulation, prolonged engagement, persistent observation, member checking, and audit trails. Therefore, the success of qualitative research largely depends on the appropriateness of data collection techniques, the systematic presentation of data, and the rigor of data analysis, resulting in credible, accurate, and meaningful findings that contribute to the advancement of knowledge.

Abstract

The development of modern science dominated by Western paradigms often separates scientific knowledge from religious values. This condition creates various problems in the field of education and social life, especially for Muslims who possess their own system of values. Such separation has led to the emergence of a dualism of knowledge between religious sciences and modern sciences, which influences how people understand the reality of life. Therefore, an approach is needed to integrate modern scientific knowledge with Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the concept of the Islamization of knowledge proposed by Ismail R. Al-Faruqi and its relevance to the development of science and Islamic education. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. The data were obtained from various relevant literature sources, including books, scientific journal articles, and academic works discussing Ismail R. Al-Faruqi’s ideas on the Islamization of knowledge. The data collection technique was carried out through documentation studies, while the data were analyzed using a descriptive-analytical method. The results of the study indicate that the Islamization of knowledge according to Al-Faruqi is an effort to integrate modern science with Islamic values based on the principle of tawhid. This concept emphasizes the reconstruction of scientific disciplines to align with the Islamic worldview and eliminate the dualism in the education system. Therefore, the Islamization of knowledge can become an important approach in building a more holistic scientific paradigm oriented toward human welfare.
