Abstract

This study investigates the local government's endeavors in combating extreme poverty within the context of Poverty and Public Policy. Through a comprehensive analysis of local government initiatives, methodologies, and outcomes, this research aims to provide insights into effective strategies for poverty reduction at the grassroots level. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, including qualitative interviews, policy analysis, and statistical modeling, the study examines the efficacy of various poverty alleviation programs implemented by local governments. Findings from this research highlight the significance of coordinated efforts between local governments, community stakeholders, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in addressing extreme poverty. Moreover, the study underscores the importance of context-specific interventions tailored to the unique socio-economic landscape of each locality. Recommendations include the enhancement of community participation in policy formulation, the implementation of targeted poverty reduction programs, and the provision of comprehensive social assistance schemes. This research contributes to the body of knowledge on poverty alleviation by shedding light on the role of local governments in addressing extreme poverty. By elucidating effective strategies and policy frameworks, this study aims to inform policymakers, practitioners, and scholars alike, thus facilitating evidence-based decision-making and fostering sustainable poverty reduction efforts.

Abstract

Pelayanan publik dalam administrasi kependudukan memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam memberikan layanan kepada masyarakat. Desa Rejodadi, Kecamatan Buay Madang Timur, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu Timur, adalah salah satu wilayah yang memiliki tantangan dalam hal penerbitan administrasi kependudukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan menganalisis bagaimana implementasi pelayanan publik dalam penerbitan administrasi kependudukan berjalan di Desa Rejodadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang implementasi pelayanan publik dalam penerbitan administrasi kependudukan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan petugas pelayanan, perwakilan masyarakat, serta analisis dokumen terkait kebijakan dan prosedur penerbitan administrasi kependudukan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi, yang memungkinkan penyusunan temuan dari data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa implementasi pelayanan publik dalam penerbitan administrasi kependudukan di Desa Rejodadi menghadapi kendala seperti proses yang lambat, keterbatasan sumber daya manusia dan teknologi, serta perubahan kebijakan pemerintah pusat. Koordinasi antar unit terkait juga masih menjadi masalah. Meskipun demikian, terdapat faktor pendukung seperti kesadaran masyarakat dan peran aktif kepala desa serta perangkat desa. Upaya perbaikan dalam pengelolaan sumber daya manusia dan teknologi sedang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pelayanan. Perbaikan berkelanjutan di bidang ini akan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik di desa tersebut.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of Islamic politics within Indonesia’s democratic system, a country with a Muslim-majority population that consistently upholds democratic principles. The research aims to understand the direction of Islamic political transformation amid the challenges of modernity, pluralism, and contemporary political rationality. Grounded in Oliver Roy’s theory of Islamic political pragmatism, this study assumes that the failure of political Islam to confront modern realities does not signify the collapse of its ideology, but rather reflects a process of adaptation toward a more pragmatic and contextual form. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, analyzing academic literature such as journal articles relevant to the topic. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Islamic politics in Indonesia has undergone a pragmatization process, characterized by inclusive, adaptive, and issue-based strategic orientations focusing on universal values such as social justice, democracy, and welfare. This approach sustains the relevance of Islamic politics in a multicultural society. Consequently, understanding the transformation of Islamic politics is crucial for formulating inclusive and democratic public policies that can accommodate religious aspirations without provoking identity polarization, thereby strengthening substantive democracy in Indonesia.
