Abstract

Concrete is a material that is often used for the construction of building structures, bridges and others. Concrete consists of a mixture of fine aggregate (sand), coarse aggregate (gravel), water and cement. In addition to these materials, concrete is usually also mixed with additional materials. In this study, stone banana stem fiber was used as an additional ingredient in the concrete mix. This study aims to determine the composition of the banana stem fiber mixture in concrete, as well as to determine the cracking behavior of the concrete during testing after the addition of banana stem fiber to the concrete mixture. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the results of the compressive strength test of concrete, normal concrete and banana fiber mixed concrete. The method used is an experimental method with variations of banana tree fiber, namely 0% (normal concrete); 0.25% and 0.5%. In this test, the specimen model was used, namely a test object measuring 60x15x15 cm. The tests carried out were the flexural strength of the concrete which was carried out after the concrete reached the age of 28 days and the shrinkage test which could be seen visually. From the results of the study it was found that the more the mixture of banana fiber waste, the flexural strength value of the concrete decreased, starting from normal concrete with a value of 49.73 MPa, a mixture of 0.25% with a value of 28.63 MPa, and a mixture of 0.5% with a value of 27.19 Mpa.

Abstract

Asphalt is a material that is widely used in road construction. The use of asphalt materials is getting higher, but the asphalt materials used are increasingly expensive and limited, research was conducted with Coldmix Ashpalt with the addition of fiberglass resin with the aim of determining the effect of adding fiberglass resin to AC-WC asphalt materials. The method used for research is carried out in the laboratory with the marshall test method then obtained the calculation results, namely the marshall quotient. The characteristics of AC-WC pavement mixtures include density, cavities in aggregate minerals (VMA), asphalt filled cavities (VFA), voids in the mixture (VIM), stability, marshall melt (flow), and Marshall Quotient (MQ). The results of the study of 4 variations of the deep fiberglass resin mixture used with variation values of 0%, 2%, 3%, 4%. for the variation value that has the highest stability is found in the 3% variation with a stability value of 1577.33 kg, with a VMA value of 15.50%, VFA value of 87.18%, VIM value of 3.28%, flow value of 3.13 mm, and MQ value of 510.72 kg / mm. The variation content of 3% is declared the most effective for mixing AC-WC asphalt because the values of the marshall properties meet the 2018 Highways engineering specifications, so that the most optimal variation of fiberglass resin added material is used as a mixture of AC-WC asphalt with a penetration of 60/70.

Abstract

Communication in a project is a key to success in project management. Errors or lack of good communication patterns in a project can have an impact on poor performance. This study aims to analyze the success of the project in terms of communication between the project owner, contractor and consultant. The independent variables used in this study are communication in the use of costs, communication in material distribution, and communication in schedule design. The dependent variable used is communication to support project success. The sample in this study was 31 people who were directly involved in construction projects in Lamongan city. The results of the research that has been done are all independent variables affect the dependent variable, and the most dominant variable affecting the dependent variable is communication in material distribution with a regression coefficient value of 0.618. Simultaneously there is a significant influence between the independent variable on the dependent variable with the result of the F value of the calculation result compared to F table, then the F calculate of the calculation result is greater than the F table (28.072> 2.960). Partially, there is a significant influence between each independent variable forming an individual linear regression model on the dependent variable.

Abstract

The need for high-quality road infrastructure encourages the improvement of pavement material performance, especially asphalt concrete mixtures. One of the important components in AC-WC asphalt concrete mixtures is filler, which functions to fill the voids between aggregates and increase mixture stability. This study aims to determine the effect of using Portland cement as a substitute for stone ash (filler) on the characteristics of AC-WC asphalt mixture. Tests were conducted at the Civil Engineering Laboratory of Lamongan Islamic University, using quantitative methods. Some of the parameters tested included specific gravity, ductility, softening point, flash point, and asphalt burn point, as well as Marshall testing to determine the values of stability, flow, and Marshall Quotient. This research used Portland cement filler with variations of 0%, 2%, 4%, and 5%.The results showed that the highest Marshall Properties value was found in the 5% variation with a stability value of 1472.13 kg, VMA value of 19.12%, VFA value of 80.84%, VIM value of 3.66%, flow value of 3.10 mm, and MQ value of 474.88 kg/mm. Thus, Portland cement can be used as an alternative filler in AC-WC asphalt mixtures to support better performance of the top pavement layer.

Abstract

Cost and time control using the EVM (Earned Value Management) method was carried out in the Gajah Mada Field Circulation Access Development project, Lamongan Regency. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the project performance based on cost and time is in accordance with the initial project plan or not. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method that aims to describe the project situation based on the results of systematic data analysis. The results of this study obtained a positive Cost Variant (CV) value, there was no negative Cost Variant value which indicates that there was no project cost overrun. The Cost Performance Index (CPI) greater than 1 indicates a positive value, meaning that more work has been completed than expenses. A positive Schedule Variant (SV) value indicates that during this period the project has accelerated the completion of project work from the planned schedule. Meanwhile, the value of the Schedule Performance Index (SPI) is greater than 1 which means that the completion of the project work is faster than the planned schedule. From the calculation of Estimate to Complete (ETC), it is concluded that the estimated cost for the remaining work is Rp. 1,337,436,973. while the calculation (EAC) of the total estimated total cost if the reporting of the 11th week of project performance remains the same until the end of the project, it is estimated to spend Rp. 5,986,736,672 which was originally planned to cost Rp. 6,299,864,092. For the estimated project completion time (EAS) Estimate All Schedule is 13,781 weeks which was originally planned for 14 weeks.

Abstract

Plastic waste is most commonly found around us and is a source of pollution in the environment, both on land and in water. paving is formed into a rectangle with a press made manually. This paving can be used as a path in the plantation or at home because it is made from recycled waste that pollutes the environment. Methods used Experimental method. The optimum compressive strength value is obtained in sample 2 of LDPE plastic type and decreases in sample 1 of PET type The decrease in compressive strength value occurs because PET plastic type dries quickly. The optimum compressive strength value in LDPE plastic type of 3.341 MPa can also be caused because it is easy to fuse when heated and dries long so that it can be molded easily. The compressive strength value in the 33% variation decreased because the plastic shreds overlapped with other plastic shreds, reducing its compressive strength. The type of waste plastic pet compressive strength produced is smaller than other types and dries easily so it is difficult to mold, the average weight of 1.089 gr / cm3 is heavier than other types of plastic, for specific gravity in water heavier mixed variation 33% with an average of 0.266 gr / cm3 and for the smallest weight type HDPE with an average of 0, 181 gr/cm3, For all types of testing does not meet the minimum requirements of SNI 03-0691-1996 as a paving block with quality D with the required average compressive strength of 10 Mpa and a minimum compressive strength of 8.5 Mpa, in this test the highest compressive strength is in the type of LDPE sample 2 of 3.341 Mpa and for the lowest in the type of PET sample 1 of 0.248 Mpa.
