Abstract

The CapCut application has many impacts, both positive and negative. One of the positive impacts is being able to improve students' speaking skills while the negative impact is reducing students' potential in maharah kalam (speaking skills) and reducing students' mindset in learning Arabic. This is due to the lack of teacher knowledge of the material being taught. The purpose of this study is to Utilize the CapCut Application in Improving Speaking Skills for students at an Islamic Boarding School. This research method uses a Quantitative method, data collected through interviews and distributing questionnaires via Google forms. The results of the study indicate that the use of the CapCut application for speaking skills is more efficient, with easy-to-understand features in the application. From this study, it can be concluded that the CapCut application, which was originally developed for video editing, can also be used to improve students' speaking skills by creating presentation videos and adding interesting audio and visual effects. The limitation of this study is that the researcher only conducted research on the use of the CapCut application in improving speaking skills for students, whereas there are still many other media uses that can be used as alternatives in improving speaking skills. The researcher hopes that future researchers can conduct research related to improving speaking skills, but using other applications. This study also recommends that future researchers use this study as a reference for conducting research on students' speaking skills using the CapCut application at Islamic Boarding Schools.

Abstract

The integration of play-based learning into hybrid education models for early childhood has become increasingly relevant in post-pandemic Indonesia, where digital adaptation and parental involvement define the quality of kindergarten learning experiences. The research addresses the growing need to design a pedagogically sound and culturally adaptive hybrid learning model that preserves the playfulness essential to early education while leveraging digital tools for continuity and engagement. The study aims to explore the challenges and opportunities of developing a play-based hybrid model that fosters active parental participation and supports children’s socio-emotional and cognitive growth. A qualitative case study design was employed, involving 30 teachers and 50 parents from three kindergartens in West Java. Data were collected through classroom observations, parental interviews, and teacher focus group discussions, analyzed using thematic coding and triangulation to ensure reliability. Findings revealed that while teachers effectively integrated digital play platforms and storytelling sessions, parental engagement varied due to differing levels of digital literacy and home-learning readiness. The study also identified that hybrid play-based activities significantly enhanced children’s motivation and collaborative behavior when parents acted as co-facilitators rather than supervisors. The research concludes that successful hybrid play-based learning in Indonesian kindergartens depends on balanced collaboration between educators, parents, and digital tools. Strengthening parental digital competence and providing structured guidance for home-based play activities can transform hybrid learning into an inclusive, joyful, and developmentally appropriate experience. The study contributes to the broader discourse on hybrid pedagogy in early childhood education and proposes a localized framework for sustainable parental engagement.

Abstract

Background. Interactive digital art exhibitions have emerged as a significant trend in the intersection of technology and fine arts. These exhibitions leverage digital tools and technologies to enhance public engagement, offering immersive experiences that traditional art displays often lack. With the rise of digital technologies, there is a growing interest in understanding how interactive elements influence the way audiences engage with art and how such exhibitions can make art more accessible to a wider audience. Purpose. This study aims to investigate the impact of interactive digital art exhibitions on public engagement, focusing on how technology can be utilized to create more immersive and participatory experiences for art viewers. Method. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with visitors of interactive digital art exhibitions. Data were collected from three art galleries hosting such exhibitions, with a sample of 200 participants. The study analyzed engagement levels, visitor feedback, and the role of technology in enhancing the art experience. Results. Findings indicate that interactive digital art exhibitions significantly increase visitor engagement, with 85% of participants reporting a deeper connection with the artwork. Technology, particularly interactive displays and virtual reality, was identified as a key factor in improving the audience’s overall experience. Conclusion. Interactive digital art exhibitions offer a novel approach to engaging the public in fine arts, making art more dynamic and accessible. The integration of technology enhances visitor interaction and creates more memorable and impactful experiences.
