Abstract

Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is one type of freshwater fish that is popular among the public. Because of its popularity, tilapia has promising business prospects. The reason tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is widely kept or cultivated is because tilapia has the prospect of fast growth, is resistant to disease and is widely used as fish for consumption other than tilapia, so the need for tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is increasing and not even in public health centers. able to meet the needs of the community. The purpose of this study was to calculate absolute growth, daily growth and survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The research method is an experimental treatment with 3 treatments and tested with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The research results achieved include the absolute growth of 2-3 cm in length, while the weight / weight is 0.16-0.24 grams. Daily Growth 2.94-3.32 grams and Survival 90-100%. While the results of the ANOVA test value Fcount 5.67) <Ftable (6.94) so that feeding with different doses did not affect the growth and survival of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus).

Abstract

The coast of Inner Ambon Bay is currently the center of economic and development activities. This can have a direct or indirect impact on the waters and the organisms in them, especially meroplankton, so the aim of the research is to calculate the abundance value of meroplankton in the waters of Inner Ambon Bay. Meanwhile, the benefits of research are as information and reference material for subsequent research related to this research. This research was conducted in June-August 2020, consisting of 5 stations (Ambang Galala-Poka, Poka, Waiheru, Passo and Halong). The method used in this research is sampling. Sampling was carried out twice a month with a research interval of 2 weeks, for 3 months. Samples were taken horizontally parallel to the coastline. Sample identification at the Pattimura University Laboratory. The results of the research found that there were 6 phylum consisting of crustacean larvae, mollusk larvae, echinoderm larvae, coelenterate larvae, annelid larvae, eggs and fish larvae. The highest meroplankton abundance in June was 1176 ind/m³ and the lowest was 490 ind/m³, in July the highest abundance was 1,253 ind/m³ and the lowest was 283 ind/m³ and in August the highest abundance was 392 ind/m³ and the lowest was 202 ind/m³. Hydrological parameters for temperature range between 25-32°C, salinity ranges between 15-31 PSU and brightness 2-13 meters.

Abstract

Tanjung Pilawang is a coastal area located in Gura Village, Tobelo District, North Halmahera Regency, to be precise. This area used to be an area that had mangrove and seagrass ecosystems that were categorized as good, but development activities have caused the mangrove ecosystem to decline. The aim of the research is to see the condition of the mangrove ecosystem and the impact on the catches of fishermen who live in the mangrove ecosystem area. The methodology used in this research is descriptive qualitative based on the results of a literature review. Qualitative descriptive is a research method used to describe a topic, object or problem systematically and factually based on the conditions, nature and relationships between the variables studied. The research results show that mangrove damage has occurred in Tanjung Pilawang. This has a big influence on fishermen's catches. This condition can be proven by the fish resources which currently almost no longer exist in the area around the mangroves. Apart from that, the condition of the resource community is bivalves from the types Isognomon sp and Saccostrea sp, crustaceans from the type S. paramamosain (green mangrove crab), which initially existed around the mangrove ecosystem at the research location, but due to degradation and human activities and residential development caused a decline density of bivalves and they no longer even exist. Meanwhile, gastropod resources of the Nerita sp, Tereblia sp and Littorina spp species experienced a decrease in density

Abstract

ABSTRACT  The use of intensive aquaculture systems is one of the activities that provide an overview of aquaculture to increase production due to the high stocking density of fish but has an impact on the contribution of waste from fish farming. Overcoming existing problems with the application of the Integrated Multi Trophic Aquaculture system cultivation model, this system is expected to help reduce cultivation waste. The purpose of this study is to determine how the IMTA system can help reduce organic waste in the aquatic environment so that water quality can be maintained and suitable for the life of organisms. This research was conducted from June to July 2023, at the Center for the Study and Development of Regional Excellence and Empowerment of Coastal Communities. The method used was descriptive quantitative. The results of the TOM analysis value in all treatments decreased. in treatment A 21.1 mg/l, B 41.0 mg/l and C 34.7 mg/l.  TSS decreased differently every time, especially on day 42 for treatment A 0.031 mg/l, B 0.023 mg/l and C 0.178 mg/l.  Ammonia for day 42 also decreased, namely in treatment A 0.03 mg/l, B 0.20 mg/l, C 0.13 mg/l. On day 42 nitrate for treatment A 0.03 mg/l, B 0.06 mg/l, C 0.08 mg/l. Water quality parameters for temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen and acidity had reasonable values for all biota reared. Conclusion The IMTA system can help reduce organic waste of TOM, TSS, ammonia and nitrate, in addition, it can also reduce the amount of organic waste
