Abstract

Efficiency is one of the methods for determining water management in agricultural land by consider ing the need and availability of irrigation water . The water irrigation use d in Tungkub irrigation area is not supposed to be optimum because of insufficient water management . C onditions of the irrigation area are waste of water and in the dry season there is a shortage of water especially downstream . The purpose of study is to determine efficiency of irrigation water use in the land preparation an d planting phase . To support research, T ungkub I rrigation Area is divided into three areas, area A mostly locat ed upstream, area B mostly in the middle and area C mostly downstream. The research used methods of quantitative analysis by collecting secondary and primary data . Secondary data obtained from Power Nasa, Bali Climatology Station, BMKG region III Denpasar, pekaseh and related officers. Primary data is availability of irrigation water based on water in the channel and observation of the pad dy cultivation process. Results of irrigation water use efficiency in area A when land preparation 59,26%, vegetative ph ase 34,30% and generative phase 20,24%. Area B when land preparation 49,97%, vegetative phase 35,92% and generative phase 73,58%. Area C when land preparation 86,32%, vegetative phase 55,10% and generative phase 35,65%. Water efficiency in areas A, B while soil preparation, all areas while vegetative phase and areas A and C while generative phases are in the category “slightly less”. While land preparation in area C and generative phase in area B are in the "good" category

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of temperature and drying time on the characteristics of fermented cocoa beans and to obtain the best combination of drying temperature and shelf life. This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors :storage time (7 days and 14 days) and temperature (50°C, 60°C, and 70°C) . Cocoa beans are harvested and fermented using an albesia wood box measuring 26cm x 25cm x 23cm with a thickness of 2 mm for 7 days. the seed are soaked and washed with running water arter the fermentation process in complete . Drying begins by placing the seeds into the ST - 02 dehydrator. . The research results showed that temperature and drying time had a significant effect (P <0.05) on the parameters of water content, fat content, pH, organoleptic tests including color, texture, aroma. The best treatment combination is at a temperature of 50°C (S1) with a drying time of 20 hours and a storage period of 7 days (P1) to produce dry cocoa beans with characteristics according to 2323:2008 cocoa beans, SNI 3749:2009 cocoa butter and organoleptic test results. water content 6.04%, fat content 36.52%, pH 4.60, color hedonic test 4.13, seed texture 3.93, and seed aroma 4.13.

Abstract

One of the fruit crops with a high economic value is strawberry production. The purpose of this study is to identify the strawberry marketing distribution channels from Baturiti District farmers to final consumers and to compute the marketing margin attain ed in each distribution channel . This research was carried out in September - Oktober 2022. This research used a qualitative and quantitative data analysis research method, namely using descriptive and mathematical analysis. Descriptive analysis is used to d escribe qualitatively the from of marketing distribution of strawberries while mathematical analysis is used to calculate marketing margins, profit margins and marketing efficiency quantitatively. The populations observed were farmers, collectors, market traders and consumers totaling 40 respondents. There are 3 distribution channels for strawberries in Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency, from farmers in Baturiti District to final consumers namely Line I (Farmers – Traders – Traditional/Modern Markets Trad ers – Consumers), Line II (Farmers – Collectors – Hotels/Restaurans), Line III (Farmers – Collectors – Strawberry Processing Factory) Marketing margins and profit margins on each strawberry distribution channels in Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency from f armers in Baturiti to the final consumers, namely in Line I the marketing margin is IDR 10,000.00/kg and the profit margins is IDR 5,875.00/kg, Line II marketing margin of IDR 13,000.000/kg and profit margin of IDR 8,875.00/kg, Line III marketing margins o f IDR 13,000.00/kg and profit margin of IDR 9,250.00/kg
