Abstract

Humanistic education and the Love-Based Curriculum (Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta/KBC) emphasize the holistic development of students by creating an empathetic, safe, and humanizing learning environment. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of love-based values in the learning process at MAN 2 Bone from the perspective of humanistic education. The evaluation addresses three main questions: how love values are implemented in classroom learning, the extent to which this implementation reflects humanistic education principles, and the supporting and inhibiting factors involved. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed at MAN 2 Bone. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with school administrators, teachers, and students; direct classroom observations; and documentation analysis of lesson plans and school program documents. The data were analyzed thematically, covering dimensions of love for God, self and others, knowledge, the environment, and the nation. Findings reveal that MAN 2 Bone possesses strong foundational support for implementing love values, evidenced by its National Adiwiyata environmental culture, experience with project-based learning (P5), and participation in KBC technical guidance. The implementation is manifested through the teacher's role as a facilitator providing psychological safety, empathetic communication, active student engagement, and holistic process-oriented assessment. However, key challenges include varying conceptual understandings among teachers and the risk of reducing KBC into mere administrative compliance. The study concludes that the success of KBC relies on substantive pedagogical transformation in daily classroom interactions rather than administrative labeling of curriculum documents.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Islamic education system at Baytul Mukarramah Islamic Boarding School in Bone Regency. This institution integrates the functions of tafaqquh fi al-din, moral development, and the enhancement of students’ skills. The evaluation was conducted based on four main components: input, process, output, and outcome. A qualitative approach was employed through document analysis, observation, and a review of relevant literature related to the pesantren education system at Baytul Mukarramah. The findings reveal that the Islamic education system has been moderately effective in shaping students’ Islamic character and religious understanding. Nevertheless, several aspects still require improvement, particularly integrative curriculum management, the enhancement of teachers’ professional competence, and the strengthening of modern educational facilities and infrastructure. This study recommends the development of an adaptive educational model that is responsive to global challenges while maintaining the pesantren’s identity as a traditional Islamic educational institution.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of transformational leadership by the principal in optimizing the Al-Qur’an literacy program at MTsS Ar-Raihan Lattekko, Awangpone District, Bone Regency. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research informants consisted of the principal, teachers, educational staff, and students who were directly involved in the Al-Qur’an literacy program. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the implementation of transformational leadership had been carried out effectively through the application of the dimensions of idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. The principal was able to serve as a role model, provide motivation, encourage innovative learning, and pay attention to the needs of teachers and students in implementing the Al-Qur’an literacy program. The program was implemented through structured stages of planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation, which positively impacted students’ ability to read the Al-Qur’an and fostered a religious culture within the madrasa environment. This study is expected to serve as a reference for the development of Islamic educational leadership and the optimization of Al-Qur’an literacy programs in madrasahs.
