Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged changes in consumption patterns, including among university students, through the use of food delivery services such as GoFood. The convenience and time efficiency offered by GoFood have made it an alternative for meeting daily consumption needs. This study aimed to describe the GoFood expenditure of Mathematics Education students at UIN Alauddin Makassar in terms of ordering frequency and allowance. This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The sample consisted of 34 students selected randomly. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics by calculating the mean score. The results showed that the mean score of GoFood ordering frequency was 9.76 and categorized as low, the mean score of students’ allowance was 13.21 and categorized as moderate, while the mean score of GoFood expenditure was 12.15 and categorized as low. These findings indicate that students do not frequently use GoFood services despite having sufficient allowances to meet their daily needs. Furthermore, students’ GoFood expenditure was relatively low, suggesting that they tend to use GoFood selectively and based on necessity. Therefore, the use of GoFood has not yet become a major component of the consumption expenditure of Mathematics Education students at UIN Alauddin Makassar.
