Abstract

This research aims to overcome the problem in class 3B of SDN PilangbangoMadiun, namely the low learning outcomes of students in the mathematics subjectof multiplication of whole numbers. Based on observations and interviewsconducted by researchers, this problem was triggered by the methods used byeducators in teaching. Some educators' learning still uses the lecture method,giving the impression that educators are more dominant than students. Thisresearch design uses the Kemmis and Mc Taggart method with the planning,implementation, observation and reflection stages carried out in two cycles witheach cycle holding two meetings. Data analysis techniques were carried outdescriptively and qualitatively. The results of the research show that learningmathematics using the PBL method for mathematics subjects, multiplication ofwhole numbers, can be carried out in accordance with the steps in the LearningImplementation Plan (RPP), educators condition students to be orderly andorderly, students are active and enthusiastic in the learning process. The learningoutcomes obtained increased, namely the average score of pre-action learningoutcomes was 43% in the 1st learning cycle 55.5% and the 2nd learning increased61.5% in the 2nd cycle in the 1st learning 62.5% in the second lesson it was68.5%, so it can be concluded that the PBL method can improve students'mathematics learning outcomes in the multiplication of whole numbers at SDNPilangbango Madiun.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the project based learning (PjBL) learning model on science learning outcomes for class V students at SDN Pilangbango, Kartoharjo, Magetan for the 2023/2024 academic year. The problem in this research is the low science learning outcomes of students in science learning, the teacher's lack of attention to the material or learning concepts that should be conveyed. This results in low science learning outcomes for students in class V at SDN Pilangbango, Kartoharjo, Madiun City. The type of research is classroom action research (PTK). The PTK model used is the C. Kemmis & Mc Taggart spiral model which is implemented in 2 cycles. Data collection techniques are test techniques and non-test techniques. The research instrument uses test items and observation sheets. The data analysis technique used was descriptive comparative. Based on the percentage results from the initial conditions before the action reached 44%, the results of completeness in cycle I reached 76% and at the end of cycle II the results of student learning with completeness reached 92%. Thus, the influence of the Project Based Learning model can improve the science learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students.
