Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of jigsaw puzzle games on fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years in Teratai UNM. The research approach used is quantitavie approach with a Quasi Experimental Design research type. The population in this study was 40 children. Sampling in this research used purposive sampling techniques include tests, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis and nonparametric statistical test. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test research, a sig value was obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.018 is less than the value of 0,5, which means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, that is, there is a difference in the fine motor skills in children aged 5-6 years at Teratai Kindergarten. From the results of the Wilcoxon test analysis, it can be proven that the results of the research hypothesis that have been formulated are that there is a difference in the avarage ability to recognize letters in children aged 5-6 years in Teratai Kindergarten, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, namely that there is an influence of the jigsaw puzzle games on fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years old at Teratai UNM Kindergarten.
