Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the strategy of the head of MA Nurul Irham Lembang Lohe, Sinjai Regency in attracting interest in new students. The main focus of this research includes how the preparation and implementation of the head of the maadrasah in attracting the interest of new students as well as what obstacles are experienced by the madrasah in attracting the interest of new students. Judging from the type, this study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with the research location at MA Nurul Irham Lembang Lohe, Sinjai Regency. The data collection techniques are in the form of field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation of madrasah heads, educators, and students. The data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing with validity tests using triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of this study show that the strategy carried out by the Head of Madrasah MA Nurul Irham Lembang Lohe has not been implemented optimally. The strategies implemented include the development of superior programs, approaches to the community, and socialization activities. However, the implementation is still simple and has not been supported by careful planning. In addition, the use of promotional media in attracting the interest of new students is still not optimal. This condition has an impact on the low interest of prospective students to register at MA Nurul Irham Lembang Lohe.
