<![CDATA[This study aims to improve third-grade students’ understanding of mathematics at SD Negeri 3 Rendang through the application of the Discovery Learning model aided by number bags. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) project, conducted through the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were third-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Rendang. The data collection methods used were observation and testing, with observation sheets and test sheets as instruments. Data analysis in this study employed descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) the implementation of the Discovery Learning model supported by number bag media can improve third-grade students’ understanding of mathematics at SD Negeri 3 Rendang regarding the concept of place value. This is evident in the improvement at each stage: from the initial or pre-cycle condition with an average of 50 and a classical mastery rate of 18.75%, it increased in Cycle I to an average of 70 with a mastery rate of 62.5%, and reached optimal results in Cycle II with an average of 83.75 and a classical mastery rate of 87.5%. This indicates that the implemented learning approach was able to achieve the established success indicators and (2) the Discovery Learning model assisted by number bag media proved effective in improving students’ learning comprehension of place value concepts in Grade 3 at SD Negeri 3 Rendang.]]>
