Abstract

The study employed a descriptive-qualitative approach involving 32 students of Grade XI at a Public Senior High School in Pekanbaru, conducted over two learning cycles during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The results indicated that the implementation of PBL improved students' procedural text comprehension ability by 73%, while PjBL significantly enhanced text production skills, with the average final score reaching 81.4 compared to the previous score of 64.7. The level of active student engagement increased from 52% to 89% after both methods were applied in an integrated manner. These findings imply that the synergistic integration of PBL and PjBL can serve as an effective learning strategy for procedure textmaterial, and is therefore recommended as an alternative approach for English teachers at the senior high school level.
