Sharia microfinance institutions are institutions that have been developed by both the Government and the society which have economic and social functions. Exploring social values based on Sharia principles is needed to make the operational basis for Islamic microfinance institutions more measurable, both in financial performance and social performance. There are three principles in evaluating the performance of Islamic microfinance institutions, namely (1) the principle of fairness, (2) the principle of honesty, and (3) the principle of partnership. These three principles are the basis for operationalizing LKMS, both in product development, services and corporate governance.Key words:  Dimension, Sharia financial principle, Micro finance, fairness, honesty, partnership.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of a competency-based Islamic Education curriculum, with a focus on value integration strategies, the role of teachers as curriculum designers, and the challenges in assessing affective and spiritual domains. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Thematic analysis was applied to identify recurring patterns and themes from the data. The findings show that schools implement progressive curriculum policies, empowering teachers to contextualize religious learning and foster critical, ethical, and collaborative competencies. However, challenges persist in assessing the spiritual and affective domains due to the limited availability of assessment instruments and insufficient teacher training. This study highlights the need for authentic assessment models, emphasizes the importance of comprehensive teacher training, and provides recommendations for policymakers to address gaps in curriculum implementation and teacher development, ultimately enhancing the relevance and effectiveness of Islamic education in public schools.

Abstract

In 2020, the World Bank conducted a Service Delivery Indicator (SDI) survey to measure the performance and quality of education services. The survey was conducted in 263 schools under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) and 87 elementary schools under the Ministry of Education and Culture. One of the results was the high level of teacher absenteeism in the basic education system in Indonesia, with almost one in four teachers (23.5 percent) absent from class on a given day. Most of these absences were officially permitted, indicating that the education management system needs to be improved. Human Resource Management (HR) in Islamic education has a strategic role in improving the quality of Islamic Educational Institutions (LPI). By referring to various theories of HR management, competence, performance, and professionalism, this study aims to analyze effective HR management strategies that can improve the quality of HR so that education services are also of high quality. Through a qualitative approach, data obtained from the analysis of various literatures, this study identifies various strategies that can be applied to achieve these goals. The results of the study indicate that training, development, and performance evaluation are key elements in effective HR management, in addition to the need for HR planning, compensation and rewards. It was also found that a holistic approach based on Islam can improve the effectiveness of human resource management in education, thus having a positive impact on the quality of educators (Ilhamsyah, 2024). This study also identified research gaps and novelties in the development of human resource management in Islamic educational institutions. Recommendations are given to stakeholders to develop more comprehensive policies in the management of Islamic educational human resources.

Abstract

The development of an Islamic education program based on information technology is a response to the challenges of the digital era that demands a more adaptive and innovative transformation of the learning system. Islamic education as an integral part of the national education system has an urgency to adopt information technology in order to be able to provide relevant and competitive education services in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. This study aims to examine the strategy, implementation, and impact of information technology integration in the development of Islamic education programs. The research method used is a qualitative approach with literature studies and observations of good practices in several Islamic education units. Data were collected through documentation and review of national education policies related to the digitalization of education. The analysis was carried out descriptively-analystically to understand the integration patterns and challenges faced in the development of IT-based Islamic education programs. The results of the study show that the use of the Learning Management System (LMS), digital learning applications, and web-based interactive media has increased student engagement in learning and strengthened the achievement of spiritual, social, and academic competencies. The development of Islamic content in multimedia format also enriches the learning experience of students in a contextual and enjoyable way. However, several challenges are still encountered, such as limited digital infrastructure, educator competence in utilizing IT, and resistance to changes in traditional teaching methods. To overcome this, supporting policies, ongoing training for teachers, and strengthening collaboration between technology developers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders are needed. Thus, the development of information technology-based Islamic education programs must be designed systematically by considering pedagogical, technological, and Islamic values. This development model is expected to be a reference in building an inclusive, dynamic, and future-oriented Islamic education ecosystem.

Abstract

Human Resource (HR) Management is the main foundation in supporting the success of educational institutions, including Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) ’Aisyiyah. HR that is managed strategically can improve the quality of educational services and create a productive and spiritual learning environment. This study aims to analyze effective HR management strategies that are relevant to the context of madrasas, especially at MTs ’Aisyiyah. This research used a mixed method approach. namely a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and distributing questionnaires to educators and school management. The results of the research indicate that there are four main strategies that are implemented effectively in HR management at MTs ’Aisyiyah: (1) Recruitment strategies based on Islamic values and moral integrity, which ensure that prospective educators and education personnel have spiritual commitment and professional competence; (2) Implementation of continuous training and development designed to improve teacher capacity in teaching and character building; (3) Fair and transparent performance management, including a performance-based evaluation system and providing constructive feedback; and (4) Providing integrated spiritual motivation in school activities, such as regular religious studies and Islamic guidance. This study concludes that the integration of modern management principles and Islamic values is able to create an effective and meaningful HR management system in the madrasa environment. Practical recommendations are also provided so that other Islamic educational institutions can adopt similar strategies in an effort to improve the quality of HR and educational services. These findings are expected to be a real contribution to the development of Islamic education management in Indonesia.
