Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the field of education, particularly regarding the role of teachers as professional educators. In the digital era, teachers are not only required to master learning materials but also to utilize technology wisely and responsibly. However, these advancements have also created various challenges, such as violations of communication ethics, the spread of invalid information, and a decline in professionalism in the use of digital media. This study aims to examine strategies for strengthening teachers’ ethics and professionalism through the role of professional organizations in the digital era. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method based on books, scientific journals, and relevant official documents. The findings indicate that strengthening teachers’ ethics and professionalism can be achieved through improving digital literacy, internalizing and enforcing codes of ethics, promoting continuous professional development, utilizing technology ethically, and strengthening the role of professional organizations as supervisory and developmental institutions. By implementing these strategies, teachers are expected to adapt to technological developments without neglecting ethical values, thereby enhancing the quality of learning and fostering the development of students with strong character and competencies in the digital era.
