Abstract

in utilizing interesting and interactive learning media, especially in schools with limited internet access. This condition results in low student engagement during the learning process and suboptimal understanding of the material and internalization of the values ​​contained in the hadith. This study aims to develop interactive multimedia based on Microsoft PowerPoint with hyperlink features on the Hadith material about the characteristics of hypocrites for fifth grade students of Islamic elementary schools. The study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The feasibility of the media is assessed through validation by material experts and media experts, while implementation is carried out through a small group trial on six students using a response questionnaire, posttest, and posttest. The results of the study indicate that the developed multimedia is categorized as very feasible based on the results of expert validation. The implementation of the media also received a positive response from students and improved learning outcomes as indicated by an increase in the average score from 68.33 in the pretest to 95.83 in the posttest, with an average N-Gain of 0.896. The developed multimedia is also able to support the internalization of Islamic values ​​through the integration of contextual videos, interactive quizzes, moral dilemma simulations, and self-reflection. Thus, interactive multimedia based on Microsoft PowerPoint has the potential to be an alternative learning media for Islamic Religious Education that is interactive, contextual, and can be applied to madrasas with limited internet access.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive Islamic Religious Education (PAI) multimedia based on Gamma AI and Educaplay games to enhance students’ cognitive abilities in grade VII at SMP Al-Islamiyah Pamekasan. The study is motivated by the low level of student engagement in PAI learning, which is still dominated by conventional lecture-based methods and simple media, resulting in limited cognitive achievement. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. Data were collected through observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires, and pretest and posttest assessments. The developed product integrates Gamma AI-based interactive presentations with Educaplay educational games, specifically on the topic of Friday prayer. The results show that material expert validation reached 88% and media expert validation reached 96%, both categorized as highly feasible. The effectiveness test indicated an improvement in students’ cognitive abilities after using the media, with an average N-Gain score of 0.54 in the moderate category. These findings suggest that the Gamma AI and Educaplay-based interactive multimedia is effective in improving students’ understanding and engagement in Islamic Religious Education learning.
