The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of implementing a deep learning approach assisted by the coc memorize game on students' cognitive learning outcomes in the topic of symbiosis. The problem in science learning is reflected in the low cognitive learning outcomes of students, which are caused by teacher-centered instruction, the limited use of engaging learning media, and the low level of student participation in the learning process. Therefore, an innovative learning approach is needed to create learning that is more meaningful, active, and enjoyable. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely Class VII B as the experimental group and Class VII A as the control group at SMP Negeri 3 Adiwerna in the 2025/2026 academic year. The research instruments included a multiple-choice test to measure cognitive learning outcomes and a questionnaire to assess students' responses to the learning process. The results showed that the implementation of the deep learning approach assisted by the coc memorize game had a positive effect on students' cognitive learning outcomes. The N-Gain analysis indicated that the experimental group achieved an average gain score of 53.20 (moderate category), which was higher than the control group's average score of 41.51 (moderate category). In addition, the questionnaire results revealed that students' responses to the learning approach reached an average percentage of 87.4%, which was categorized as very good. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the deep learning approach assisted by the coc memorize game effectively improves students' cognitive learning outcomes on the topic of symbiosis and receives highly positive responses from students, making it a suitable alternative for creating more meaningful, active, and enjoyable science learning.
